Taser Shooting across map

Well hello there, my goal is to get my taser to shoot the same distance as a gun. In SwatEquipement.ini, i changed the files from range=300 or so, to range=4000. Now when i shoot, i see the taser bolt hit the wall far away, but it doesnt register as a hit if i aim it at a player whos far away. How can i fix this?

How can i fix this?I think there's something server-side keeping you from doing that. I did the same, it works fine in single player, but not online.

editing the ini files modifies only the sp behavior of the game.
