Actually it all depends on what the people feel like listening at the time... That's why we have different DJs at different timezones... It helps because they all play a different style than the next one.

Techno is nice, but not everyone can listen to it and few will listen to it for hours non end... That's why people also enjoy rock because it's different each track ;)

This would really help the DJ's know what type of music/songs people like. I like pop. Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Simple Plan, Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, (CHINESE) Eason Chan (CHINESE), Alicia Keys, and more.

yeah i would agree that it would help some of the afk dj's setup their lists better too :P
the only problem is, is that those of us that do live mixing(or try[like me]) can't always play the rock that people suggest, we try our best to make our shows enjoyable to all, but it's hard to mix rock in(like you all heard when i attempted to mix korn :P) but yeah this can give us all an idea of what you want to hear and even allows those of us that produce our own mixes an i dea of what we could do to make stuff playable in our shows

Yea i also try to mix rock in but it's only at the beginning of the set cuz i always begin with lower BPM. Most mixable rock tracks are low BPM. After that i go to the higher BPM (doctor bass, for example), but there's not a single rock track that has that high bpm, so I guess we will just have to live with it... (no problem!)

I would also think this tread would be very usefull to find out the global music style of the forum...

I only listen to Drum n' Bass and House music. It takes work to make house and drum and bass. In rock all you do is pluck a few strings and hit a bunch of trash cans...
