i dont think that would be a problem but in order to do that we would really have to setup a schedule for everyone and rotate a bit because those are pretty popular hours

I guess we'll have to figure out which djs are in what timezone first....... I will post a new thread about it, plz tell all the djs you know/see to visit it and post in it, that way not only could we try and work out a schedule, we could also see which timezones we need more djs and which timezones we don't need more djs ;)

Well, we first have to eliminate the AFK'ers. There is one dude that turns on auto-connect and after that plays all his songs in alphabetical order and at 24 kbps. We should try and make a selection of the most active dj's...

i agree with that , i think that way we can get more listeners and maybe become a popular radio station

yeah i agree with getting rid of the afker's, and i think the three most active dj's have all posted in a row :P

pwn noobs... don't want to ruin youre idea.. but i thought it was 20 to 30 minutes tuning and someone else go? You come with 2hours... i mean... maybe you have good music.. but other maybe don't like... so they DON'T listen for 2 hours or they are going to listen for 2 hours to crap. You know what i mean?

if you haven't noticed on real radio(maybe you live in a cave?) most regular radio stations have their dj's playing one type of music generally some of the same songs over and over again and they're just playing music for like 8-9 hours a day sometimes and then you get a dj asking for two hours or maybe even an hour who does live mixing so it's various different types and you say it's too long so people might not listen, it's not even one of the american timezones so you don't get all your boring listeners that aren't willing to try new things other than rock, i know i'll get flamed for this but really an hour or two isn't a long time, ive play for over 2 hours straight at about that time untill i gave up when noone came on for about 4 hours lol
so i think we should all get like 1-2 hour timeslots and just fill in the rest when we have the time, because f you divide it up into half hour timeslots you need alot more dj's to fill in the time or dj's with more time because not everybody has the time to wait between shows

We can do it in tabs of an hour, if you want to play 2 hours u get 2 tabs. Something like that, we would have to make a site where the DJs can put themselves in a schedule. So the DJ can plan when he will be spinning AND he can see when the other DJs are goin to spin.
A nice example of that system u can find here (http://radio.virtualdj.com/schedule/). This is very simple, yet very effective. Maybe some people that know some about coding should take a look and try to make something similiar.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but this is not going to work.
For what reasons you may ask. Well, someone may not be able to make it for some strange reason at a certain time of the day for that said schedule you want to prepare; Or they may not want to/feel like DJing at the time, the reasons are limitless.. You can't keep a tight schedule, because it won't work out in the end...
We'll keep it as it is. If the Radio is open for a DJ you can go in if you want to and no one else is getting ready to go in. If it's busy, you don't, simple as that. You can ask the current DJ if he doesn't mind you going in playing after him in a certain time. If there is an issue, you contact luck777jojo, me or Virtuosofriend and we'll try and help you out.
Example: Dark Hacker aka DJ Van Stino a few days back was online and I got the distinct impression that he wanted to get on the Radio so I asked him in the channel if he wanted to, he confirmed my thoughts and I agreed to let him have it after an hour when I would 'close shop' and go out for drinks with Virtuosofriend.
A schedule will just add uneccessary pressure and seeing as you are doing this for fun, there's no point for it.

Trust me, if it can't work with my staff that are constantly following the same moderating habits on a regular basis, DJs I hardly see following the same pattern from time to time won't work either.
But if it's an important show to be presented, that's an exception and I can get you sorted for that. Fair enough? :)

a scheldute might a good idea.I will quote sth pwn noobs... don't want to ruin youre idea.. but i thought it was 20 to 30 minutes tuning and someone else go? exactly that.Without a scheldute i can connect and start playing my shit,i have a broadband which stay on forever,so i just keep djiing till i run out of songs.Like 72h.What do you think people will stay in,will listen to somebody who will play the same shit over and over [trance for instance all the time] without talking, without break up for sth, like a small fun commercial? No.That's why techno and trance, and especially long mixes like 1h dont work imo.You need to break the broadcasting, either to talk, make fun of sth,or put sth else like a commercial or i dont know an acoustical.I vote for the scheldute as long as we make it flexible like i dont have to broadcast every day on that time etc.If i skip a day,or 2 days it will fine.Or even better the same DJ could have several periods of time in a day to do his show.

I won't object as you have a point, but you've seen me counteract that factor when I've DJed. Indeed however, talking is a good factor in the shows, as long as you actually have something good to say ;)
