Cd Key Problems...

Me and my friend both have the d/l version of battlefield and we use the same cd key, we can play each other but only in LAN games is there any way i can play on the net with this downloaded version?
p.s.
i have a no-cd crack if that could be causing this...:dead:

You can keep searching for a CD-Key that does work, or just buy the game like Sinister already said...

It seaches for the real CD, i have the orginal and still cant get by backup working with cracks, its not the key like in ut2003 but its the orginal CD you need... of cource i could be wrong but i dont think so........

Try making your backups with Alcohol 120% Gauaranteed works then np. Ive used this copy proggy to dupe so many discs I can't believe it. It will do a 1 to 1 copy of anything on the market except Mares copy protection (motoracer3) safe disk secure rom lol there a cinch. Try it you'll soon be a believer like me too....

No Prob. I had the same type of troubles with backup disks, then I tried Alcohol.... I found out about it on CD Freaks and haven't made a single "coaster" yet. Games so far backed up: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, Battlefield 1942, AvP2, AvP2 Primal Hunt, UT 2003, NOLF2, Medal of Honor (orig and new add on) to name a few. I make backups of any new game I get ever since my CD ROM drive (el cheapo 50x) did one of the lets spin the disk so fast it explodes into many little parts deals. My writer a Lite On 24 x 10 x 40 hasn't done this yet and doubt it will, it seems to control itself very well LOL. Alcohol also works great with my cheapo HP 8250i burner as well just takes forever LOL but for $49.00 what ya expect LOL. It sure is alot cheaper than buying a game again with blank disks costing nothing or less if you catch COMP USA at the right time! A recent sale they paid you 5 cents for taking a 50 pack of Phillips 80 min blanks home LOL after rebate of course but still.... they in the end paid you 5 cents LOL!

i can just backup my cd's?
cause im going to a LAN in 2 days and i would make sure my cd's wont break or somphing so if i could back it up it would be nice so i can take a copy to the LAN instead of my original cd

:bunny: It will make a 1 to 1 copy of just about any disk protection protected disk there is. It's super simple to use too....and amazingly its only like 3 mb installed size.:classic:

:bunny: Cool, I got the response notice and thot oh ooo.... I'm in trouble from that other mod that was goin off bout keys, but I wasn't yakkin bout keys LOL! :classic:
I really can't explain how well this program works, it flat rocks! I've done the Cloony+CloneCD route and it was so so, really confusing too easy to screw somthing up.
One thing that is pretty helpful though I'll tell you is Cloony, for the disk that you aren't sure about what protection it uses, Cloony will tell you and then just set it in Alcohol. Thats the only tricky part of using Alcohol is you need to know what scheme they are using to protect the disk. Cloony finds that in maybe 5 seconds, from there on its auto-pilot all the way.
I just made a good copy of the very newest Safedisk 2.9 I think it was... maybe 2.89 anyway its the baddest version out and it did it np.
One *IMPORTANT* thing, when you start Alcohol on a Safedisk burn it will make an Image first on your Harddrive, this will TAKEsome time... up to a half hour or more some times depending on the amount of errors Safedisk has. Reason is Alcohol copys the errors 1 for 1 so the resulting copy you get is EXACTLY like the origanal. Thats where Clone and the rest go wrong they fix or ignor the errors.. Just be patient once it gets thru the error section (generally 6-8mb worth of really slow reading) it will read at whatever your drives max is like normal. Let it do its thing. I thought it was a POS at first because when it starts making the Image it seems like its not working sometimes, it is, be patient and it will make ya smile like a Pirate :classic: hehe

No-CD Instructions:
Install the game - Full Installation.
Apply the official Battlefield 1942 v1.2 Patch.
Extract the BF1942.EXE & BF1942.ORG files to: <GameDir>
Extract the MOD.DLL file to: <GameDir>\MODS\BF1942
Play the Game!
Note: When running a hacked (dedicated) server, extract GameSpyHost.dll to: <GameDir>\MultiplayerServers

and the game rocks in Lan very well.
