notepad rules all other editors, you can do with notepad what the other programs couldn't even dream of and the code will be free of the useless crap that most other editors insert, meaning smaller filesize and cleaner code. If you must, however, use dreamweaver to make the page and then clean up the code with notepad removing the trash that dreamweaver inserts. Never use FrontPage it'll just screw everything over.

Dude, you guys obvoiusly havent used Homesite.
It's not a WSISWG editor, it's like Notpad with advanced codechecking, Tag highlighting, and much much more.

Why don't you do something original? use them all instead and after you have done so, you will know what is best to be using in each of the tools ;)

notepad is best all around no matter how you twist it, however since I usually don't have too much time to mess around with the .html part of the sites I do, I usually use dreamweaver to get the basic layout and then just clean up the code in notepad.
