i prefer makin a new cfg file in cstrike/cfg like i did
u copy the commands that ppl posted above and u save it as umm lets name it mpcconfig.cfg (file type: all files)
in game u type in console exec mpcconfig.cfg
well thats how i tested those commands
and o yah @ leet cheetah: that crosshair is damn awesome :D same with the gamma bindings

my point wasnt that he had 300 post and didnt knot where the Folder was , it was that he should of searched his comp first b4 asking a question that coulda been solved in 15 seconds if he would of only searched....
dunno if that sounds crazy to any one but when ever some one ask's for cheats for a game or a link to a file that they know the name of Some mod always says
"Use search thread closed"

Thanks, I find it's easy to get a lot of lucky headshots with it set to 5000, although I used to play with 3500 thats leet too....
As for the gamma you may want to change it a bit to suit your monitor more, the one I have ae configured for my 17" TFT which has somewhat dodgy gamma at times....

I used orginal post hacker cfg and when i did it buged my game when i moved its like back n forward i removed all my cfg files (to back on default) and now its fine :ermm:

I ping well, always below 50. I also get good fps at around 100.
The default bind for a screenshot is F5. That command just sets the quality.

bind f5 jpeg binds f5 to make a jpeg picture of actual screen
bind f5 screenshot binds f5 to make a vmt (or w/e filetype) file of the actual screen
there is a difference between the command jpeg and screenshot!!!

Commands and settings just help a little with the fine-tuning. Hardware is what's important. I have an ATI 9700 Pro, 1.5 GB of RAM, P4 3.06GHz. Source runs very smooth and I do get a consistent 100 fps.

That's a really good setup. I have no idea why you wouldn't be getting atleast 50... Do you have the latest video card drivers installed and directx?

Try putting your resolution lower, the lower it is, the better fps you'll get. I had mine on highest and got like 45 (i have a l33t graphics card n comp), then turned it down n got 120. much better.

As my fps lowest in de-dust 2 is somthing like 70
i have:

also wanna know how much fps boost it gives u and what "side effects" it might cause?
Btw i also remeber that in HLH i loved the nosky there (make sky black) it boost
my fps nicely 2 bad gdcs dont have any of those fps options :ermm:
I know things like nosky , no fog etc can get decent fps boost!!

side effects of the fps boost: ur aimbot might not work.

What does a higher fps actualy do? no rain=processor dont need to calculate physics of rain, graphics card dont need to show rain drops dropping down(like de_aztec), better fps/performance(its more noticeable in lousier graphics card i think)

Does it really boost up your GFX? if so how to set it automaticaly. Example would be, in my previous autoexe.cfg i just load the game and type in FPS_MAX 300 and boom every thing auto and gained about 25fps so had about 75fps with nVidia MX420 64MB AGP 4X,. SO is there something this easy as "FPSMAX_300" for this one?

or you can just use my die hard fps configs... just extract it into ur cfg folder inside ur cstrike folder. this is for cs:s or you can use it for cs 1.6 too.
then make a autoexec.cfg file if you dont have one and put exec "fps2.cfg" in it.

cause that option causes GDCS to packet-scann every data CS:S sends to the server, so this will contribute to ur lower FPS if u have a lousy internetconnection/ur very far from the server

In your config file make sure cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate are set to 30.
