Im not sure if this would be considered a hack or not, so i posted in this forum. I was playing DoD (Day of Defeat) when some dude was playing sounds over his Microphone. They were audio clips of Arnold Schwartzenegger, Sylvesster stalonne, adam sandler, homer simpson and other actors.

The sound would come across over the mic, but he wasnt talking or playing them into it. He told me it was a program and he had binded keys to play them.

Anyone know what this is or how to get the effect. Sounds pretty cool, considering my Half-life nickname is Hans Moleman, so i would like to get some moleman sounds if possible.

thanks.

Actually its not called Voice Annoy Script, thats something else, rather its called HLSS, Half Life Sound Selector, you can download it here: http://www.gamerforge.net/~hlss/download.html

Good luck and have fun ;)

yeah it shouldn't be a problem with it being detecte because it doesn't need to hook HL to work.

well if you can play MP3 files with your sound card then it should work just fine.

actually the program only allows for u to play low quality WAV files because otherwise it lags ur system or could cause other problems, i don't think a good sound card is really needed.

im not sure, but from my experience, ive only been allowed to play 128kbps .wav files. Anything above or below doesnt work and i cant find a way to edit the sound files i have to 128kbps.

Its cool when u get working sounds though.

yes, on the site i'm pretty sure they have some premade sounds ;) to make it 128kbps you could use some kind of program that u can get from www.download.com

I've been fooling around with this program for a while, its not bad but i cant find a way to save the wav file as 128kbps. When it isnt 128kbps the sound is all muffled and u cant understand the sounds.

nero sound editor is a good prog to change the characteristics of a sound file.
It also lets u sample smaller pieces of the clip

alias gotvoicet "gotvoiceon"
alias gotvoiceon "voice_loopback 1;voice_inputfromfile 1;wait;wait;+voicerecord;alias gotvoicet gotvoiceoff"
alias gotvoiceoff "-voicerecord;voice_inputfromfile 0;voice_loopback 0;alias gotvoicet gotvoiceon"
bind ADDKEY getvoicet

You must insert this into your autoexec.cfg or any other config you know that is executed. Also you must have a file that is called "voice_input" (without quotes & it must be a .wav file) inside your Half-Life or Counter-Strike directory.
