i dont know how long this has been going on for, quite a while. especially since i started using GDCS. i had it happen every now and then with HLH.

basically i'll be playing and then i'll stall and get connection errors and my modem will take about a minute crap and then finally reconnect. i dunno if it has anything to do with lag or what. i get it on small servers with a few people and i have a good ping and i also get it more often on bigger servers.

wtf?

what can i do?

yeah it happens to me to and i am on wireless and is damn annoying. I get REALLY HIGH ping and I then quit and my router like shuts down the wifi and loads it back up again.... DAMN ANNOYING. I have an AMD XP 3000+, 256Mb 9800XT, 1 Gb RAM and 1Mb/sec Cable. So I dont know what is going on.

i love my old computer, it was sooo crap!!!

I got 20 fps (1.6ghz processor, 256 ram -and 32bit gefore2 graphics card), and i got 2.2Mbps Connection.

I had so little problems with it even tho it is so rubbish (I bought it for £1200 aka $2000)

Hopefully My new PC will work even better! lol, sorry 2 gloat but I just hav 2 tell u all about the lil thing.

ANYWAYZ, i heard that playing online games with a wireless connection is really a bad idea. I got wireless conection at my office 1Mbps internet speed but the usb adapter is 11mps. So it should not restrict the gameplay, but i was told 4 some reason i dont know it does!

i have a P4 3.2ghz processor, 512mb RAM, 128mb 6600GT gfx card, cable connection, no wireless...

i never have problems when i'm not running a hack, which is odd. so i think it has something to do with the hack.

Ok, lets not make this a show-off thread about how good your specs are and you still have the problem. It's clear it's not spec-related, so stop posting specs.

i was curious as to what the problem was. my ping doesn't reach real high levels, usually around 50. i have a decent setup, nothing great, but nothing should be bottlenecking or causing this to happen.

it pisses me off because i'll get on a server and i can last anywhere crom 5 seconds to and hour on the server, i just get random freezes. hell i got 3 freezes in a minute the other day. it seems like it's getting worse so i had to make a post about it to see if anybody else is experiencing it and what they do to help?

p47 rarely comes here for troubleshooting :(

OHSNAP, try running windowed mode, see if ur problem persists
