school me, i'm a DoD noob

well i just pre-ordered it and and pre-loading it right now. i've never played DoD, i dont fully understand it at the moment.

how is it different than counterstrike? i hear there are different classes, kind of like bf2. what is the goal of the game? capture the flag? defuse? rescue?

in all honesty, is it better than cs:s?

one thing i like about cs:s is that it's so simple. it's aim, shoot, complete objective. as opposed to bf2 or something that is very complex.

so, can somebody give me the gist of it so i'm not totally lost on monday?

ok its cap the flag or destory a target, its WW2, aiming is easy as hell if u played cs alot, its like bf 1942 but not that big and no vechical. anything eles u want to no

but seeing that VALVe/Steam scr*wed up the Steam system and some people cant even play CS:S now, think they might delay DoD:S or rollback the Steam update

Yeh i first played in back at a lan party in 2001 or 2002 not sure, anyways it was my first lan party, and i installed dod (back then steam barely existed or if at all) and at first i died a whole lot, its one of those games that if you stick to it, you will get better! Patience and remember some classes are just not for you, myself i can play all classes except panzer cause i aint a dic.khead lol, although on dod:s you get the C-96 Broomhandle i think it is, i know its a broomhandle, and its a sweet ass gun, also you will be able to punch people, if you want to know more about dayofdefeat source and whats to be expected goto www.dayofdefeat.com its a good source of info for DOD:S and DOD alike!
