obviously this sounds quite noobish, but i'm paranoid.

even when i search for non-secure, it wont show a shield, indicating vac is not running, but every server i find still has the VAC loading screen. i know some servers on cs:s would run that just for a decoy, but every server i find on dod:s has this screen.

is it just a decoy?

i dont know... i'm banned from VAC and i sometimes get into servers that say they're VAC by the little shield. or sometimes one without a shield or the VAC loading screen and right at the end of the "sending client info" it restarts the connection to the server and says i'm VAC banned and cant join. it's weird..

Yeah, I have been having this same problem. Anyone else?
If anyone has found a way to fix this, it would be cool. I think the problem is not with the game but with the servers itself, because even when I tell Xfire to only search for non-secure servers, I will get a list with secure ones on it, and they will not have the shield either.

might be a decoy but not 100 percent sure.

Yeah, the shield means nothing. And there is no way to "fix" this. VAC is very buggy, and that is either a bug or a decoy, I think it's a bit of both.

Yeah I think it's a bug, but they are holding back on fixing it because it fools hackers into going into the server thinking their awesome hack that has been VAC detected already will still work and they won't be banned. Then 2-3 weeks later they get the e-mail XD
