Well am using Slackware 10.2 and I need help installing kernel the newest kernal...
And
=-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------=
We will need the following options set in our .config and compiled into the kernel, and for the support of wireless encryption you will need a few more options enabled, so be sure you have this set before you go any furthur

CONFIG_NET_RADIO=y
CONFIG_FW_LOADER=y
CONFIG_CRYPTO=y

Optional support for WEP

CONFIG_CRYPTO_ARC4=y
CONFIG_CRC32=y

Optional support for WPA, you will also need the previous options from WEP enabled as well

CONFIG_CRYPTO_MICHAEL_MIC=y
CONFIG_CRYPTO_AES_586=y

------------------------------------------------------------------------------=
Am not sure how I would put the options set in the .config and compiled into the kernel. Am really lost on how I would do this.
I just install Slackware like 2 hours ago
I tried to look but the only things I got are www.kernel.org, and http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/kernel.html

Am just not sure what to download and how to set the options in the .config and compiled into the kernel.

P.s Am following this guide on installing the wireless drivers http://marcin.fastlanehw.com/slackware.html#wireless

Also sometimes out of no ware a High Pitch Noise well start and then stop. I did alsamixer but then I don’t have any sound

Sorry I cant give any more details am really new to Linux if there’s any command out-puts that you need just post the command.

Thanks for any help
