Please dont leave sam3 or any other streaming software you are using, running all night and all day!If you dont care for the others who wish to DJ,at least respect the fact that we dont generate bandwidth we pay for it.The next DJ who does that will be ip banned from the radio server,i am not ****ing kidding.
I wont say the DJ's name who did it,all i say is that he was connected to the server for more than 15h.

Agreed!
A little note: if you are on the radio, please also be on the IRC channel. If you're not: you will never know when someone else wants on. This is incredibly annoying.
Please do: you have to stay friends with your fellow DJs!

It wasn't a ****in autojoin scipt. If you would just learn SAM3, it is a DEFAULT FEATURE of the program.
I am very sorry I didn't comb though every single ****ing option in the config looking for something that might agitate everyone. Jeez. It's disabled now, btw.

er... you Alias77 never get off -_-. I vote Ip ban Alias777 The IP ban would be next time someone pulled that stunt again, not now.

Alias, you also seemed to be under the impression that you are allowed to stream another radio station over MPC... thats actaully illegal.... plus this is MPC radio, we want to listen to that, not some other radio station.

I would like to see a new system for recruiting DJs. If we could just have a week to test wether the DJs are good and if they are, if they would stay...
As for you, Alias777, we are right and you are wrong. Always read trough the settings before you start streaming. If you didn't notice: you should never be AFK when playing. A maximum of 5 minutes afk is a good limit to keep.
Last note: BE ON IRC! If someone else wants to spin they can ask.
This might be a global remark: stay friends with other DJs or you won't come far.
This was all i had to say: please let MPC Radio live, and don't kill it with ignorance.

And you should start to learn the sticky threads and the tutorials posted by those who own the station you play on.Who the hell told you to enable auto reconnect?
Now dont even date to make a different reply rather than i am sorry because you are one step away from it and dont ask what.

Alias, think twice before posting.

I'm thinking twice. It is not oustide my line.
Virtuoso, maybe you don't understand the word DEFAULT. It means it is on automatically when you install the program and is buried in the pits of the config in places which are too big to be crawled through and are insignificant.

I'm sorry but you are completely wrong. FCC rules permit the radio stations can be broadcast anywhere, anytime, as long as we play the same ads that are on the radio station, which I did for a short time (overnight). I'm srry for the autoreconnect feature, I didn't realize it existed.

Ok well imo these are some bad excuses a) it tells you in the tut how to set it up b) I Have used sam in the past set it up on my own and it's never started auto broadcasting on me and c) generally when you're done with a program don't you close it?

it is quite illegal to play radio ads on the internet, has something to do with the ads possibly being inappropriate for other countries etc. even big radio stations that have a big international internet presence have to replace their local ads with something else.
so...... practically it is also illegal to play a radio broadcast directly on the internet unless permission was given.... i.e. you have the rights to play the broadcast.
