Anyone happen to know the cvars/dvars to get people to show up brightly colored?
Not the external hacks, but the in-game settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

/r_lighttweakambient 4
This controls model gamma (brightness).
/r_lighttweakambientcolor 1 0 0
That would produce bright red models. Swap the 1 around to change it from green or blue. You can also create your own colors by using float (decimal) values instead of integers.
It colors in other xmodels besides players as well as foliage.

Several mods coming out are patching this, unfortunately.

Not that I know of. You can experiment with cvars by doing the following:
Hold Shift and press ~
Type in /r_ and press tab
Of course, there are other prefixes. The rendering prefix usually contains the cvars that benefit cheaters.

does this work online for CoD2? i tried it once and got no results. i'm having such a hard time seeing the enemy in this game. it's funny too, that on a server with KillCam how easy it for people to jump out from behind a corner and sniper me across the whole map without a scope when i'm not even moving. they just seem to always know where i am :) the killcam just makes it so obvious when some people are cheating. cant wait till i can get some colored models.

Look at the title of this thread and what this site is for...yes.
If you are opening the console correctly and typing in the cvars exactly, then there should be no problems.

You cannot specify the models or model parts to be colored by the cvar. If you have any common sense, you'd see that there are three values for /r_lighttweakambientcolor: Red Green Blue. Specify the amounts of each color. 1 is the max for each.
Therefore, /r_lighttweakambientcolor 0 0 1 is blue.
/r_lighttweakambientcolor .5 0 .5 would be purple and so on...

Make sure you are running the game in DirectX7 mode.
Dezept1p - do not ask or beg for cheats / hacks. I'd warn you but the system isn't available at the moment.

Don't work for me. Seems that the Cvars were locked ?! Every time I change the Cvars in my Config.cfg, the game change them back to normal. Should I change the Cvars while the game is running with the console ? And Yes, I run the game in DX7. Thanx for help

Hi
Its working quite well but i can't see through walls like in the picture and also everything organical (e.g. trees or wood) is colored.
Is there a way to see through walls without any other coloring of wood and plants, just the players?
Im also looking forward to the complete hack, although i dont like cheating. But i don't want my 50€ to be wasted for losing against Wallhackers :rambo: !
Is there any releasepoint for the hack yet and what will i have to search for  -> (filename?)
Thx4help

Just so you know, you were automatically banned for posting four identical messages in a row in another thread. As for the coloring of other models, that happens because they receive the same light player models do. There are no other cvars that will restrict non-player coloring.
But i don't want my 50€ to be wasted for losing against Wallhackers
Don't mention private hack sales or anything else on the forums. There are no public hacks right now on MPC for CoD 2.

Does that mean there is a public hack on another site? The only cheat sites I know of are mpc, elitecoders, and unknowncheats. Alot of people are playing with more than bright colored models, I see them scanning through walls when I watch them in spec and they get scores like 100-15. :cross-eye

I do not know of any other sites that have public (or even private) hacks for CoD 2 right now. When we find a hack on another site, we post it here unless the author doesn't want it to be on MPC or has had a bad relation with MPC. That hasn't happened yet. What I was referring to is sites with closed-forum communities where a copy and paste coder makes rips for members.
