As most of you have probably noticed the donation link has been gone for a few months. This is due to some members donating using stolen paypal account and paypal getting on our ass about it.
Since we seriously need a server upgrade so that the forums have room to grow, we have been forced to add pop-under ads for guests and inactive members. Don’t worry; most of you who are registered and visit forums more or less regularly and contribute will never get those pop-under ads.
We also have decided to open up donations again. Since we don’t want the same thing happening as it has in the past the donation system is going to be kept private. All members wishing to donate should send me a PM on the forums (http://www.mpcforum.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=8), I will evaluate their account and if I believe they are trustworthy I will send them the details needed to donate money to MPC.
Of course all those who donate will get the supporter tag added under their nicks as this has always been done.
If you are a new member there is a very good chance that I will not send you the donation details, this is not personal, and it is nothing against you. This is just for security to keep this account clean from stolen donations.
Anyways that’s all for now, keep browsing the forums and remember, donations bring money to upgrade the server, but unless each of you contribute with answers and questions no one is going to need that money anyways.
So remember the most important thing to MPC is, was, and always will be your knowledge contribution NOT money contributions.
