I got unhardware banned, heres my steps, yes it costed money

Heres what i did in order

I called WD on my hard drive and had them rma my primary hd for a reason i made up, got new HD installed and still got banned. I disbaled my Generic Sound Card and logged in, still banned. I went to new egg and bought the exact MOBO i currently have and installed it today. It came with a usb and a firewire hub as the last did, so i yanked all my hardware out and installed the new mobo, installed both usb and firewire hubs but kept the original firewire plug unplugged. I did not install the audio card because the IS7 has integrated <ewww i know> audio. I left one of the old hd from the previous pc unplugged. KEPT VIDEO CARD, Kept old usb hub diabled old firewire, ommitted old hard drive, kept RAM <dont know if thats trackable but i mentioned it to be entirely specific> and i am now UN HARDWARE banned, can i get a hooah... but alas i cannot and will not use hacks on a pb protected server ever again , unless... someone slips me some private stuff


Can i get a hooah -------------- Good luck to all of you HW bans, it cost me 120 bucks to get back in.... How can i show my moon to PB?

no likely, getting unbanned from pb applies to all pb enforced titles.

This has been mentioned a few times here in several threads; PB scans and bans the first 10 physical hard-drives; thus if you have (or had) a spare hdd as a slave and transfered to another machine then the hw ban message will still appear as some have noticed.
However there is an easier method to get around the hdd ban issue; if your mobo supports it then setup the drives in a RAID array not only will you get a nice increase in speed but the hard-drives in the array will not be banned since PB cannot read the serials of the drives due to the nature of RAID.

There is a 'new' Anti-Cheat Program (http://www.mpcforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=156) discussion area where this and other relevant information should be posted.

Good statement there gil ... once the hardware is replaced the ban is gone forever! Trial and error thats the only way to do it.

@ scruie, if you want game sided protections just capture badmin which is simple if one understands the functionality of utpt

for games run on Ut engine that is, other methods are there for other games though i bet

Sorry if I sounded offensive, that was never my intention. As to the rebuttle that he can now play the other games, let's not forget that hardware banning has not yet been ported onto a lot of the other games in the above list.

You shouldn't didn't have to get a whole new motherboard. A new nic (~$10) and HD would have sufficed (disable onboard nic in the bios). :P

This is a great find. I am personally not banned from anything, but I think this will help quiet a few people. It goes slightly over my wage sadly enough as of right now. (One of the many drawbacks of being un-employed). None the less, this will help the community quiet a bit.

i too was HW banned so this is what i did..to get unbaned...first spent 12.95$on ethernet card second got a free cable modem from cable company...third i installed second harddrive for playing aao only.i also took out my phone modem..as so not to give out a mac address that i was hacking on...and thats it....and yes if you get banned from any pb games,your baneed from all ...i also play bf 2 which i was banned from but i am not now ...hard drive,ethernet card and cable modem[phone] which ever are keys to hw banes change 3 of the 4 ...ytour in...:cool:

You must own two hard disks, identical two best... and you make so :
1) RAID 0 ( two hard disk )
2) disable firewire or host USB ...
3) change MAC adress network card, program SMAC 1.1 ( free version )

Is it possible to unban yourself without changing your hardware? Because I once was able to do that for 20 minutes then PB caught on to me? I mean not a single piece of hardware? Change MAC, Disable Sound Card, Disable NIC, ...?
