Hello, I havnt been around mpc since its downtime, so I have not been playing CS for a long time. The last time I played was a couple of days after OGC 10 came out, so Im a bit behind. And I just got back from my trip to see that 1.6 is coming. I read some posts here and found out almost what I needed. What I didnt find is if there would be a new version of VAC being used? Maybe I missed that but I didnt see it. So will mattdog's OGC work on 1.6? Or will someone have to redo the code to bypass another VAC attemp?

no current hooks will work with 1.6 but the beta is out now not the full version. yes, vac is still here and better than ever but once the full version is out, vac is ****ed cuz people are gonna bypass it anyway. i am going to be one of those "attempting" to, not sure if ill get by...

Ok thanks. I guess Im just going to have to try to edit some crap out. Too bad I cant get my hands on 1.6 yet, Im still on a 56k connection with a crappy computer at my grandfathers. Too bad, just whoever figures something out first post it.

Actually, thanks to Steam being the medium for 1.6, there's a better than good chance that any hack other than OpenGL wallhacks (if even then) aren't going to work. Since Steam will allow small updates to the CS client everyday, it'll be quite a chore to make anything able to keep up-to-date with the changes to the filesizes.

well IMHO if they only use steam they'll loose alot of players since even now a big percentage of people playing CS are on 56k and well... steam won't work too good with 56kers

That is very true, i don't think the only thing that will work will be Steam, it can't be. I think it will be like what they did with all the other versions, they only used steam to test it, not to make it offical, it was only beta...
