Hello,

I don't have rcon on any server, so I was wondering if someone here could ask a simple question. When an admin does the command /rcon status what does it show? Just our id #'s? So if someone had rcon they could steal a persons COD2 ID # (and use it to like hack)? Because I have heard that people have the same ID #'s...

btw this is related to hacking...just don't wana say somthing that will get me in trouble with Blackdove :P

Thanks for your time,

Yes it shows their GUID # but my question is how do you manually change your GUID # to theirs?

You are way of, and I think you are confusing cheating with hacking other ppl.
Rcon status will show a id number yes, but this number is just the number you get when entering a server. If you are the only one on a server you ID number will be one and so on.

Umm, I dont think so.. When you enter a server you are givin a number 1-32 depending on how many people are in the server. That is the number you use to do clientkick, banclient etc.. On the far right it will give you their GUID number. which is your cd key and ip basically mixed together

/rcon status shows the same thing as it does in CoD and UO:

Because I was hosting the game in which the screenshot was taken, my GUID was 0. Normally, it's somewhere around eight digits in length. If people are using the same CD key, then they have the same game GUID. Duplicates are most likely caused players on home networks that connect to servers. Assuming the GUID is derived the same way as in CoD / UO, it's based entirely on your CD key. It is not possible to reconstruct your CD key based on any information supplied by console commands including /rcon status.

Sometimes players try to kick me for cheating. Is there any way to hack the kick vote so they can not kick me.

I have never read of anyone who has done it in Q3 games without having other friends on the same server to sway the vote. Games like FEAR and maybe STALKER it's possible.
