Like the 5 million other threads that appear on cheat sites every year, this one will have the same answer:

- You will need a decent knowledge of a programming language (C++ for most people).

- Know how hacks work and how to hook functions. Also, another requirement could be knowledge about the game's rendering engine (D3D and OpenGL).

- Reverse engineering skills (mostly for those wanting to create client-hooks).

- Last importantly, a compiler and materials to work from.
