Running PunkBuster with ProcessGuard

Step by step

0. Install ProcessGuard (http://www.diamondcs.com.au/processguard/)

1. Open start, click "run"
2. type "regedit" (without the quotes), press enter
3. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es
4. Rename "DCSPGSRV" (rename it anything that strikes your fancy)
5. Restart yout computer

6. Play Punk Buster games with ProcessGuard installed
7. Link to this post (or the original) whenever someone has ProcessGuard installed and can't play a PunkBuster game

8. (optional) Please tell me how to get ProcessGuard to block PunkBuster from seeing hacks

If I set it so that the files it normally scans (Battlefield 2's bf2.exe and renddx9.dll, I think) can't be read by the program that PB scans from(bf2.exe, I think), and have turned on a hack, would it.

A. Crash the game
B. Be detected as a normal hack and get me temp banned
C. Be detected as screwing with PB and get me hardware banned
D. Not be detected and let me play with the hack turned on
E. Other

Different effects with hiding it befor or after it loads the maps? I would test all this on my own right now, but I'm staying at friend's house and don't think it would be nice of me to get him IP banned from anything (bad Christmas present). If noone tests it by the 3rd, that's when I'll be able to get my own IP banned.

I think if this works but gets detected, it will be a hardware ban...I suggest you don't try ;)

Would it be possible to use PG to prevent PB from updating ?
If this would work (letting people just completely uninstall the game, reinstall it, stop PB from updating, then use hacks undetectable by their non-updated PB), how would I go about stopping it?
And (if you happen to know) what would be the most likely (or definite) response from PB (kick, ban, looking at you funny, etc.).
