yes You must format both drives to be same size..
It is always a good idea to format a raid disk in a low level format as well first then do the regular format at the desired size if needed to match the second drive..

The reason a low level format is recommended is because the drives need to be exactly the same and even after a regular format data is still readable on the drive..A low level format completely wipes out the drive so non of the old data is still readable…

If you have ever used recovery software you will see how data is still readable after a regular format…

Not before. After you created the stripe-set you need to format the RAID-array (during OS install). However with 120 + 2 Gb drives you have a whopping 4Gb total capacity of your RAID0-array.

I am assuming you setup your raid config in the bios or something correct. And if so, does windows only one drive when installing an os then? And if he went raid1, he would only have 2 gigs correct (mirroring)!!

You cant do a low level format during windows install …that’s the problem doing it that way. You may be OK with out the low level format.. but if not ...it will one of those problems you cant diagnose…it up to you…
As far as set up you have to turn on the raid in the bois the motherboard will have a second bois just for the raid….so a normal bois and a raid bois…dude you got msn

i have a dell dimension 4550 , didnt find anything of RAID in the bios
think i cant make a RAID drive without formatting my whole drive and lose all my data
so no RAID for me , my new laptop will have a compitable video card for BF2 , wil play it on the laptop then

yes buy a RAID controler card...not hard to find..any computer store
put it in the Pci slot were a sound card would go..dont put it directly under the video card for temperature reasons...
then at boot up the new card will be found by the system and have its own bois...hook up two of the same or two drives formated the same up to the two new IDE slots on card...boot and set up a raid 0 or stipping...same thing....then go through windows set up.. once the raid is set up windows will see them as one drive...
note: set both drives to master...one is master and the other is slave so change one of them..and both one there own cable
