Well I promised a little something to make up for the downtime last week...

...and here it is, complete new look for MPC, three different new looks that is.

Check out all of them; pick whichever one you like best. Don’t complain it was a pain as is editing these skins since the default purchased version of them did not include some little icons I wanted included and that pissed me off. Since I didn’t want to spend more money to have someone edit those icons I did it myself.

Plus add to that the fact that I already pre-hacked all these skins with the hacks we had already on the old skin and it all comes down to a shit load of work so…. I ban anyone bugging me about them.

The old default skin is still here if you like it so much. It is called “MPC 56k” since it’s least image heavy so a faster load.

There might be some minor chages made to these skins in the next couple of weeks but as of now they're more or less the final version so changes will hardly be noticible.

MPC is a real nice change. It's got a nice visual appeal that doesn't hurt the eyes like other slim-lined themes, and it's also quite minimalistic compared to the old (now called MPC 56K) skin, which I'm sure is important to a certain group of people. It just feels more modern.

MPC Classic is nifty. It's got that "I just woke up, this site won't hurt my eyes with brightness" feel with it's red and blackness. I would consider switching to this theme simply because I usually traverse my bookmarks just moments after waking up when my eyes haven't adjusted to the light yet, most likely making this the first site I would visit for the day.

MPC Dark makes me feel like I've stumbled upon the wrong bookmark in my browser. There's nothing wrong with this theme, it'll just take some getting used to for me (but then again, I won't be using it, so I won't be getting used to it).

For me, MPC 56K will always feel like home. It resembles the face of an old friend and in that I can find comfort.

I want to pick the best one for moderating. you know, last time the other skin didn't have everything ;)

The best thing here is that we don't have a rep system.
Nothing should be done for rep imo. If we'll need rep, it means that the situation is bad.

I noticed MPC's new look right away, but I only just found this thread. Its a great look, but I am stuck on a 56k connection about 30% of the time because of travelling back and forth from work/school/homes, so I use MPC 56K, its easy on the eyes and it loads quickly.

It would only work if we disabled feedback, or at least disabled negitive respect so there would be very little flaming. I guess I only liked it because we started with it and I went right to the top ten. It brought up my self-esteem, lol. ;)

Part of the reason we disabled it, moderators can't do their jobs if everybody can negatively rep them. Also, fraud is quite likely to happen. If person A reps person B negatively, person B will retaliate by repping person A negatively. And so on.

We have rules, just like anybody else. On some 'cheating'-servers you're not allowed to use an aimbot, but wallhacks are allowed. Yes, it's a bit of a double moral, but we provide cheats for MP games (not for highscore games) and we try not to ruin the use of this forum for people by letting them cheat in the arcade.
