Hi ppl, I have a little question :
There is a software, made by ArkticWolf, called Fck nProtect (prolly already posted on MPC) who can bypass nProtect.
The prob is, it's for MU Online only :ermm:

So, I would like to know, if we can't translate it, to use it to bypass nProtect on MapleStory ..

That's how we need to configure it, to bypass MU nProtect :

- GameGuard Bypass Instructions -

following these instructions you do so at your own risk.

If you do not know how to do anything in this tutorial seek help at somewhere decent like the MPC
Forums, do not attempt to improvise any of these steps.

===

Step 1 - Editing your hosts file
You need to edit you hosts file to point the name resolution to your local host address, instead of
through the internet.
- Click Start, and Run.
- In the box, type %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc and press enter.
- Click the file named 'hosts' once, Right-Cilck and select Properties.
- Make sure the Read-Only Box is UN-checked, and click Apply (if nessescary) and OK.
- Right-click the hosts file again and click Open
- (Windows XP) Click Select the program from a list, and press OK.
- Choose Notepad from the list of programs and select OK.

---

Step 2 - Editing the hosts file
We need to point the DNS name to our localhost IP.
- Add the line 127.0.0.1 update.nprotect.net to the END of your hosts file seperating the words
with a <TAB>, so that it looks like:

127.0.0.1 update.nprotect.net

- Click File, Save to save changes
- Exit Notepad

---

Step 3 - Making the hosts file read-only
We need to make the hosts file Read-only to that GameGuard cannot be sneaky and delete the line
we just added to trick it ;)
- Right-click the hosts file, and select Properties
- Make sure Read-Only is ticked, Click Apply (if nesscesary), and click OK.

---

Step 4 - Setting up a Loopback Adapter
Now we need to set a loopback adapter with an IP address of the Mu Update server, so it updates off
this program not over the internet.
- Click Start, and Control Panel.
- Double-click 'Add Hardware' (If it isn't there, click 'Classic View' on the left-hand side menu) and
let it search.
- Click 'Yes I have already connected the hardware', and scroll down the list of devices untill
you get to the bottom, select Add a new hardware device, and click Next.
- Select the Advanced option, and click Next.
- Scroll down untill you see Network Adapters, select it and click Next.
- Select Microsoft Loopback Adapter from the list, and press Next, and let it go.
* It will popup a bubble saying a new networking device has been installed, but just click the X
* on that bubble.
- Go back to your Control Panel window, and double-click Network Connections
- Right-click the new created connection, it should be named Local Area Connection X (X can be any number,
depending on how many other adapters you have installed), and select Properties
- Make sure the Connect Using box says Microsoft Loopback Adapter, if it doesn't, click cancel and
go through the other ones till you find the one that does.
- Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) (don't uncheck the tick), and click Properties
- Click Use the following IP address, and enter 221.148.39.246
- Click the Subnet mask box, it should automatically enter 255.255.255.0 for you.
- Click OK, and OK again, and play the waiting game.
* Windows XP has a habit of freezing here. If that happens for a long time reset the PC and
* it will still be set properly.
- Close out of Control Panel and Network Connections windows now, you don't need them anymore.

And you're done! GameGuard will update through the bypass now. You won't have to reset any
configurations, as GameGuard will update as per normal when the Bypass is disabled or not running.

Happy hacking :)

Maybe, if we change that IP (221.148.39.246) and find the one for Maple, we can bypass nProtect ?

Thanx for ones who can help me, cya
