Hey guys, I just thought I would share this with you all. I found this at the beginning of last year and I was just amazed. It is a FPS with good graphics and it is only 96kb in size.
all the code, textures, geometry, sound, monsters and, well, lots of bugs - all crammed into 96 kilobytes

My jaw dropped when I started playing this FPS that is only 96kb, its just unbelievable.

Here are some screenshots:

Those are screenshots from the game developers website, when I tried it on my computer at home the graphics actually look even better.

The game developers website is here:
http://www.theprodukkt.com/

Game minimum requirements:
* A 1.5GHz pentium 3 / athlon or faster.
* 512MB of RAM.
* a GeForce4Ti (or higher) or ATI Radeon8500 (or higher) graphics card supporting pixel shaders 1.3, preferably with 128MB or more of VRAM.
* some kind of sound hardware.
* DirectX 9.0b.

I played it on my friends computer first which is a fairly decent system:
AMD Athlon 2800 with an ATI Radeon 9800XT and 1GB ram, he got around 35 frames, the game is very stressful so you should have a pretty good computer...

Keep in mind this game was made by a small group of teenagers.

Anyway you can download it here:

Yeah but still. Even with moores law in mind, this is still amazing to me, and it should be to everyone. I mean the quality in everything, the textures, the sound, is quite good. And this was created by just a small group of teens. I was amazed when I found out how I could compress 1gb files to less than 200mbs, but this is mindblowing. I suppose that the reason games are left so large is because game developers want to make it harder for pirates to steal the games...

I've Google to see other games like this, but only this game developer has done something like this that I know of...

Because this game doesn't cost your hard drive memory,
It's requirement is pretty high..
I know somekind of FPS game that has really great quality and only 32kb,
it lags like hell in my computer.

It's small because no textures are stored, they are created by the engine :O
