My CD drive is too slow!

I've been trying to install WoW again, and this gay ass cd drive of mine gets stuck and seriously overheats the cd. My computer has really good specs, but it doesn't help when it comes down to this worthless cd drive of mine. Is there ANY way to make it go faster or atleast make it so it doesn't get stuck on my WoW installation?

copy the cd to the hardrive then install it from there...

if you download the latest drivers for your drive then the read, burn speed etc may increase as some companies do this to improve drives after they are released if they have any flaws, do you know the drive make and model?
