First of all im kind of new to hacks. I used 1 in the original dod which I really liked. Anyways I have 2 questions.
1. I have tried the EvilHaxor's AntiRecoil and UniversalRecoil and many others and not one of them have worked. I am installing them, extracting them to desktop, running the program and loading dod source and it does not work. Does anyone have idea what the problem might be?
2. I dont care about aimbot, recoil, wallhack or any of that. In the original dod I had a hack where it put a square above enemies head. You could see the square through the walls so you pretty much knew where they were, almost like a wallhack. Anyone know what that is called and if so where could I get one?
Thnx.

Go here (http://www.mpcforum.com/showthread.php?t=125031).
There you can get an Anti-Recoil program and a multihack that has esp(a hack where it put a square above enemies head), it also has many other fuctions like an aimbot, but if you don't want the aimbot then don't use it. The multihack is called GDCS. And even though both of those hacks are posted in the Counter-Strike: Source forum, they work for Day of Defeat: Source.

Depends on the hack your using. There is usually a readme file attached but here is my experience with most hacks:
There are two kinds I have seen and there are more im sure but the most often ones used are:
1.OpenGL: This is usually a type of hack that you put into your folder (This is for half-life 1 games and mods i havent seen one for source and for good reason) In this case its already up and running and you dont need to "hook it". You just start your game and whammo, your already haxoring.
(For an example of that go and download RAGEOGL 3.4 here:MPC Downloads (http://www.mpcdownloads.com)(Didnt provide direct link cuz im not sure if its against the rules) DONT USEZ IT THOUGH ITS VAC DETECTED!:
2. "Hooks": Most often seen for the Source version of the half life games. Really the only diffrence is these are usually seperate programs that you load before you start your game and it "injects itself" when it detects that you have started up the game. These you can adjust the settings in a text file usually thatll have a list. Wouldnt mess with those unless you understand the settings like we do. So if you have a hook just double click on it before you start your game. Usually to get a menu in game for adjustment the keys vary but i have found its mostly the home, insert, orpage up keys. Like i said see if there is a readme file.

CS:S is DirectX based
its either using a D3D hack/hook, using a universal aimbot/antirecoil or hooks(popular)
