A warning to fellow GW players

Admins/mods if you feel this topic is spam feel free to close it i will not be offended. I just feel people should be warned.

As of late there has been a person going through different area's of GW spamming a certain website as having hacks for GW. being the gullable person that I am, I went and DLed them... later realizing what a clever scam it is. the "hacks" are keyloggers and the program will not do what it is said to do. in the website and the various readme files the author of the site encourages you to email them to help identify your problem, thus giving the person your e mail address and using the keylogger to get your password and the e mail to get your e mail address.

Also i'm not sure if it's related but I am still trying to recover from a nasty little rogue spyware program by the name of SpyFalcon. if anyone has any idea on how to get rid of this one it'd be much appreciated.

lmao, owned. Never visit random sites that people spam in games. Especially for hacks. If you do download them, scan them ffs!

indeed i got pwned hehe... still havent' gotten rid of this bugger. stupid lsass.exe and I did scan it.. i just forgot that i scanned it with my antivirus progs before i even contemplated updating them (last time i did that was uh... october?) *sigh*

This type of scam is very comon...
In the future, i would suggest you check out cheatforums like MPC to see if a game is hackable... GW has alot of serverside code wich makes it very hard to hack.
