Hacking Screenshots leading to ban

Yes Iv'e heard people talking about this, where someone takes a screenshot of you hacking and sends it in... then you get banned... Is this true

And if it is what sites are these... because someone told me they caught me and then said they sent in the pic :( now a lvl 59 (almost 60) is at risk of ban... can someone tell me these sites?

Have to be member to visit the forums, here is a very big thread about hacking and i guess about 30 messages are posted every day about hackers mostly with screenshots.

Edit: i check there from time to time to see if someone did catch me.

Hackers do not do anything to disrupt other ppls playin of maple, or there "maple experience" as people say...

So why not just leave us and let us hack, leave the other people who want to play legit to go do that, and we just stay out of there way...

(fortunatly the person who caught me hacking does not have a screenshot of me ACTUALLY hitting the monsters... it just shows the monsters being vacced and me and her on the same map so... maybe i won't get banned who knows)

If you find a pic of urself on any website haxin, that char is banned. sleepy caught one of my chars and took bout 2 days to ban me.

The only way you'd get banned is if mass people report you and a GM is online. A screenshot can be easily edited in photoshop, cliently editing your MS name to somebody else's, so on. MS GMs can't ban just by a screenshot, not enough proof. They need to actually see you hacking. Atleast that's what an email from a GM told me.

Wizet hardly has time to go through every single screenshot sent to them, so the only way like Rache said, is for them to have mass people report you, and then a GM will start to watch you. Might wanna stay legit or start a new char for a week or so..

Maybe GMs dont know that people can just edit pics... some ppl are really good at it too so they could make it look as real as possible

Well, in a way we do. The total noob hackers do. Jump/speed hackers are in this category.

The main reason why people absolutely hate hackers is because hackers mess up the spawns in maps. Especially since the Dupevac tut got released, there's been tons of noobs going around with it. DUPE IS SERVERSIDE. If you leave a chan with monsters at the top of a map, they STAY there. There's no way for a legit player to get the monsters down. Imagine noobs with that vac doing it in every chan. That's what caused DMT to be so hot with GMs.

Just don't be an 1diot with vacs. Clean up your mess after you're done with the chan, then legit players will eventually stop bothering us.

Yeah, I have a level 65 I/L mage that I've holding off on because of random people supposably ss'ing me. You learn to be alot more careful once you actually have a worthwhile char, not these noobs complaining about level 20 warriors.

BasilMarket needs to shut the hell up. If it weren't for us, they wouldn't be able to get all the great items and such at such low prices. Why? Because we vac, we get the item, and we sell it cheap for some quick mesos.

I always deactivate DupeVac when I'm done and kill them all so they go back to the bottom. I'm that nice I guess :)

I doubt that... because there WILL be a time where u are like 80% and u wanna vac and lvl up and then go to bed so then once u lvl up... you put up your stats and then log off and go to sleep

I never thought about this... I do recall leaving chans and then coming back and seeing people dead because my vacced monsters all spread out and own them... so i guess yea this does affect other people lmao...

Yes, I do do it EVERYTIME.

When I'm about to leave the channel alone, or go to sleep like you say, I go to CE and deactivate it when I'm at 99.99% or simply when I'm about to leave.

I don't even use vac cause I don't like the coord things. But then I'm just lazy. If someone uses the same map I do a lot and has the kind of vac that sucks you into the air so you won't get caught I occaisionally would like to ask for the code but I don't use vacs. I just opt for god mode and when people show up I run like crazy, making sure to "jump" the monsters, and change channel as quick as possible. And a PQ of hackers. Uber fun. So why not just leave us alone jesus

you can't change your name so OTHER people can see it, but you can change it so YOU can see it.

Open CE, bypass and attach to MS, search text Name, Freeze all the values and change them to somthing else (Preferably same number of chars (example: Noob11 -> Pro133) , or MS gets pissy) hit cash shop, hit exit, voila, free to take screenshots and pretend to be somone else.

de de de lol of corse u can get banned from ss but where all those sites do with the pics and where most reporters send is the maplestory sits of corse what hack were u useing cause if they see u on a vac ur not auto banned they mite save ur name and stuff the reason is some smart people back when set up their vac and took atleast 60 pics of people takeing advange of their vac which made gm have to get more proof but if u got fly or they posted on bastil ur probally gettin banned if it was godmode then u won't get auto banned cause some people lag and u can't see damage u can't take ss of fast hack but if it was one of non auto bans u mite be getting checked up on usally not gm are usally to busy so u mite be and please learn to find better spots...

There was one infamous incident in broa on the day of the monster invasion, practically every player in broa reported me for hacking. I was a level 30 cleric. I teleported up on top of the ticketbooth, and I spammed "EVERYONE REPORT THE HACKER ON TOP OF THE TICKET BOOTH".

The GM (Fireplug) came. He F2'd, said "Not a hack", gave me (and a crowd below me) haste and holy symbol. I didn't get banned. Reports don't equal shit.

All i can say is that GM have cloak, so you can be hacking all the day and the GM can be even there watching you and then later ban you.

Yeah GMs can be *******s sometimes... Well that is their job I suppose... I'd do that job for free though haha. All the cool crap you want for free and you get to ban people you don't like for "hacking" haha. Ah but that'll never happen.
