my game guard is still updating and prevx home does not give me any pop ups can anyone give me any possibilities what i am doing wrong? my folders are fine CE settings good apache has this dos prompt with 1 line saying 1.3.33 apache running... althought my prevex setting can only be user define + query or off + off, it can't be off+ query. i think all my files are suppose to be, im kind of renaming the original files like naming it "hosts orig" for the original file while i put in the new one, does that do anything or is that okay? .what do you think i am doing wrong?
*edit oh yeah this is concerning the katana.moonfruit.com bypass

Yar. There is nothing wrong with backing up your hosts files. But then again, you need the correct host files with the two IPS from gameguard. It should have an undefined IP, and a gameguard URL in the hosts file. CE Settings shouldn't hold you back. Apache = DOS window in the first place, I do not believe you need apache running, since it is a background service. Lastly, for Prevx (not prevex), please try this. Turn the Maximum or User Defined to OFF mode. Tell prevx that this decision is final. After you've done that, double click windows memory so you have options in Prevx. Pick the second dot, "Query Mode," and save changes. After that, open CE, open maplestory, target it with CE, then go with the normal "Allow, Deny, Allow" procedure. If anythings wrong, just post again.

how do do you tell prevx to make it so it decides it is final?
ok well, it still was the same thing, i still can't make it "final" for off AND query and i tried it without apache, it still tried to update

RAWR! i had this problem aswell but it was fixed
first go to
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache\htdocs
- Make sure it have the nProtect folder
- Inside the nProtect folder there should be a GameGaurd
- Inside the GameGaurd folder there should be a RealServer with the REV566 files extracted to it
- Run MapleStory and it should not update
///////////////////////*****REMEMBER*****\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
when Prevx shows an alert u attach CE to Maple Story and ALLOW the first message DENY the secound and ALLOW the third
when the game starts there should be another message move it off to the side and ur fine
hope this helped
