An article published today on Bona Fide Reviews suggests that Microsoft might be looking to buy out Sony.
Sony has been having more than its share of financial troubles lately and is in a position to be completely bought out by Microsoft right now.
Whether Microsoft intends to go through with this is unknown at the moment but expect your PS3s to be backwards compatible with PS1, PS2, Xbox and Xbox360.
Personally I don’t see this as a huge problem for the consumer, better graphics, more games, and all of them compatible. Then again I doubt that Microsoft will actually go through with this, after all they’ve had enough troubles with anti-trust suits in the past I don’t think they are looking for a repeat of those troubles anytime soon.
It is scary to think how huge Microsoft has become, they're the newest player in the console market and they have gone up from the bottom all the way to the top of the market and now have a change to completely buy out their biggest competitor all this in a very short time.
