I have seen tiesto, oakenfold and van dyk... they are my top three.

Timo mass, lisa lashes, mark farina, sanchez, mike downey, max graham, bad boy bill are a few others.... They are all awesome live. Depends on what type of "techno" you are into. Pretty broad spectrum...

Van Buuren is awesome

2nd spot in my book goes to Paul Oakenfold for his old work (Bunkka probably being as new as I would go with him, that was a good album after that..... meh)

3rd spot.... Blank and Jones

4th Aaron Simpson (old stuff, Volume 4 was one of the best ones IMHO)

5th DJ Irish

Tiesto isn't the number one DJ in the world anymore, the spot has been given to Paul Van Dyk, and for a damn good reason.

Paul Oakenfold just plain SUCKS, I've seen him 2 times in the past year and both times he bombed, shit down at the Ultra Music Festival this year he ****ed up so bad he walked off stage...his older shit was good, like his cd Tranceport. He just doesn't have it anymore.

Armin Van Buuren owns my soul.

Here are some of my favorites:

Paul Van Dyk
Ferry Corsten
Above and Beyond
Mike Shiver
Armin Van Buuren
Gabriel & Dresden
Carl Cox
Infected Mushroom

^Saw them all live, all very good.

I'm seeing Tiesto on the 17th of May also, ybor right? We should meet up.

I don't know exactly what the subgenre's are of Techno, but my favorite DJ's are Scott Brown, Sy & Unknown and DJ Neophyte. But I seriously doubt that the last one (Gabber) is classified as Techno. (If the others are even techno, it's UK Hardcore, so I really don't know if that's Techno or not)

If Neophyte is a bit too hard for you, you could try the other two. They're less hard, but a bit more electronic/synthesized too. If you really want to know what they're like, listen to the Hardcore channel on di.fm (it's classified as hardcore, but it's UK Hardcore which is basicly very very hard Trance/dance).
