Possible Downtime

There is a chance that the forums might be down in the near future (in a day or two probably) for repairs to be made to the server which we hope will resolve the problems with the slow load times lately.

We will attempt to keep the downtime to a minimum but expect the downtime to last anywhere from a few hours to half a day.

It is very unlikely at this time that the downtime will be more than 12 hours at the most and most likely the downtime will be less.

There is very little chance that we will be able to get away without having to go through with this downtime so don't get your hopes up.

Theoretically nothing should be lost such as posts, and we will do our best to keep it that way.

well i think i'm over the whole hacking thing after a couple of hours of aao ownedge and i'm happy to see that MPC is doing "something" about it for example backing up everything on a seprate server and all the other things in the scene.

hrm well it seems the downtime is not as sure as it once was, I seem to have fixed the server somewhat now, so load times are closer to what they were before.

We do have 1 problem still remaining but for now I've introduced a work around for it and I'm waiting for some software upgrades to become available to see if they fix it, if they don't the downtime may come, but if they do this downtime might be avoidable.

Why dont you have a really big poll and let ppl vote for the best down time. Thats the best way to decide. (and remeber to use Est Pst or GST or sumtin like that so we know what time it is where we live)
