some time ago I posted method to increase view distance to the value you want. The method has been lost after server crash some weeks ago. Should I post the method again or is there already other hacks around that do the job?

First you need a memory sniffer like ArtMoney:
http://www.artmoney.ru/artmoney626eng.exe
Start Battlefield 1942
Alt-TAB back to Windows and Start ArtMoney.
From ArtMoney load the attached file.
In "Select process" dropdown list choose "BF1942"
Doubleclick the "Value" and set it to the value you want your view distance be, e.g. 200.
Rigtklick on the entry and set "Freeze"
Go back to Battlefield 1942 and enjoy the landscape...
After each new map load press Ctrl-F11 to make ArtMoney focus on the curret thread.
Sounds bit complicated but its pure hacking guys :bandit:
There much more things you can do client side with that memory sniffer... just find it out.
Enjoy.

Just a question. I've done this with Artmoney and it works (file is clean) but it is still a long drawn out way of doing it. There are several hacks where this is automatic like Toedvision. The question is, what is the view distance that Toedvision uses. Is it 200% or more?
I ask beause it might be worth using Artmoney to increase the vision beyond what any of the hacks can do so far.

I dont know anything about Toedvision. Sure all that procedure can be automated by a programm, but Im too lazy to write one. And if there is another programm that does this automatically then I dont even need to. If you can send me this Toedvision to dedz@arcor.de I can crack this cheat so itll use higher view distance. But I tell you my friend. 200-250 v.d. is the best. 300 and higher doesnt bring any noticeble improvment, but instead even produce strange-looking artifacts on some maps.

I was poking around with that program. I can get unlimited ammo which is pretty cool. I'll post all the values for it later. Or if someone else wants to.
It will take a lot time to find all the values for the ammo. I tested it with the BAR on multiplayer. Works like a charm. It will be interesting to see what others do with it. Hmmm.....I wonder if I can freeze my health.
Anyways I like the program and I'll try to get those weapon values out to you guys.
Maybe I could try to freeze the reload time also. Well I'm new to this program and I don't know what possible and not. I mess around with it more tonight.

Weapon characteristics are controled by the server, thus it will only work in single player mode or if the server you are in has the same modification.

Well after some tinkering I found what the address for the fog value was, but I am unsure how to use Ctrl-F11 to reset it for each map using artmoney. If anyone could tell me I'd appreciate it.
