View Full Version : Request: Freelancer (Anti-Cheat bypass?)

I was wondering if anyone here knew how to bypass the freelancer anti-cheat ''mod''/program or w/e it is.

I've looked for it but since the game is so old, the only thing I found out was that someone could make legit beam cannons (that are supposed to be counted as ''modded, thus illegal''.)

And someone who claimed to have a mod that bypassed the Anti-Cheat ''thingy'' for freelancer.

However, both topics have ''vanished'' into thin air. (So I couldn't read them.)

Now if anyone could help me I would appreciate it, I know how to mod the .ini files so that isn't a problem for me, it's just that bloody Anti-Cheat that I want to bypass.

thanks in advance.

(ps: Note that freelancer is a RPG game with Multiplayer options, thus actually an MORPG and not a MMORPG, but I thought it suited here best :P)

Extra Info:
For as far as I know Anti-Cheat basically just checks if everyone is doing legit stuff, .ini modding shouldn't be detected until you actually exploit the things that were edited.

For example: If I modify my ''cruise speed'' (really crappy warp-drive :P). to go uberfast, and i'd use it. After a while I would get detected.
If I wouldn't use it, it would never detect me having it.

This is my first post, and I have to admit that Freelancer is one of the hardest games to find any working cheat or hack. They have more anti-cheat systems than microsoft has employees.

I've only found three cheats and several trainers in the past.
The first I've found was the ffh trainers with money hacks which defeniately doesn't work.
The second was a cloak mod which was directly detected
And the third one was to change the loot in a lootable zone in the ini file, which was detected on a longer base (refire rate.)

Maybe this would be a challenge for one of you coders to come with a stealth (read as: golden) hack/cheat which is really undetectable.

If anyone has more info I would be very glad to hear it.

It seems that no one has any?
