welll i use photoshop for my art and graphics and game stuff only, not a webpage person totally but I use imageready (comes with photoshop you should have it) . You can set the page up in imageready -it helps get images ready for website ,hence the name. Photoshop/ImageReady should generate cleanHTML code for you .
But I'm not saying photoshop and imageReady are HTML editors - on the contrary, all they will do for you is help you slice up the graphics side of your layout and make a table for it. When I do a page (if I must heh) most of the HTML, text, and color scheme (excluding the graphical part I did inside of photoshop/max/lightwave whatever) I code by hand with
EditPad Lite (http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html) .

Ic ill have to read up on the image ready, the new photshop has a ton of new features since the one i learned on. I remember learning in graphic design class how to design your page in photoshop and then import it into dreamweaver to place all the links and stuff. This is easiest way for me since i am code illiterate. :/

ya that works too. dreamweaver is nice. I didn't know you were using it. well then you are set. you can do slicing with imageready and stuff...depends what you are doing. If anything create the html with DWeaver and make sure everythings linked right and you got the index page and it should work okay. Its coincidence i just got done setting up some page with some screens of some of my stuff a few minutes ago then I come and see you onheh.
