Speed Hack...

I was playing ladder one day, when i saw a game titled "TESTING SPEED HACK." I was doubtful, so i joined the game. After starting, i noticed how fast everybodies units were moving... I looked at the game speed in the options and it was Fastest! and as everbody knows, ladder can only go up to fast. However, the units were moving and building even faster then ive ever experienced. It was like fastest+fast:cross-eye .

Anybody have this or has witnessed this?

As far as I am aware, it is impossible to speedhack on bnet.....

That would screw with the other players as well. Not possible.

Yes, everybody was going fast. Listen guys, dont tell me its impossible, im not a moron, i have played starcraft since it came out, and it was obviously the fastest ive ever moved. Repeat: EVERYONE in the game was moving FAST, and the gamespead was higher then possible with ladder.

Perhaps a high bandwidth host? I have never heard of this happening because there is absolutely no way he could affect your client as well....... perhaps he has a local server cheat that can only affect the game if you are the one hosting the server....... then he might have been able to pull it off, but it still doesn't seem possible.....

Fast bandwith host? Lol I can tell th difference between a high bandwith host or a immensly fast speed. It was even faster then single player.

As I said, it is impossible, unless the person found a way to completely circumvent the server process so that he could directly control an indirect server effect......

It isn't possible...... It really isn't.....

As long as bnet monitors settings, it doesn't matter what you try to do, there is no way to go any faster than fastest, especially in ladder.....

Maybe he just percieved it as faster than usual when it really wasn't. Don't get on us MeTwoWhat. Maybe these people were master hackers and hacked bnet, you never know. But before that, it would be impossible..(i think..)

OK, listen. Saying that the host must have had high bandwith doesnt make any sense. I have played on single player, and even with the fastest speed on single player(where im not connected to ANYONE), the ladder was MUCH faster. MUCH! Also, i specifically looked into the speed window, and it even said "fastest."

Ok, please stop telling me what i DIDNT see, and what is impossible... Sorry if I am not able to put any imput on how to do this, as I also thought that this was impossible, before I saw it with my own eyes.

what i am getting here from KidB is he saw a speed much faster than "Fastest" and it was on battle.net ladder game... it must of been a new secret hack...

now for hebe.... hes saying that he has broadband which makes the game faster which is complete utter non-sense because bandwidth don't set gamespeed.

now can u guys jus listen to KidB? hes the one who saw it here and it may be something new.

MeTwo, if oyu are used to playing on slow servers, then you play on a faster one, you will notice that it is FAR FAR FAR faster than it would seem to others used to playing on a fast server.....

As for this fastest crap, it was clearly not a ladder game because bnet can't allow fastest in a ladder match. Period, end of story, it wasn't a ladder match......

There is no speed hack for bnet, there never will be one again (unless a patch goes very badly.....) because you would actually have to go through all the other computers on the server and change everything that everyone of them was getting. The only way that could be done is if you were the server and somehow managed to change the distributed packets of info, which are still monitored for consistency by all the other computers on the server....... thus, it cannot be done.......

I don't mean to dispute what you are saying or sound like I am ignoring you, but what you are saying is completely and 100% impossible at the moment...... perhaps a few years ago it was not, but there hasn't been even a semi-working bnet speedhack in several years......

Ok you must take me for an *****. You must know what I saw better then I did. Damn i should have taken a screenshot... Also sorry o({})o, but just because you believe it is impossible, doesnt mean it is. Its obviously possible because I joined the game, my scv built in about half the time it usually takes, and my other scvs were mining at astonoshing rates. The guy who hosted told us before he started that he is only testing, and he is going to leave right after. He did leave, and i also left so I could try to contact him. He didnt answer my wispers...

Anyway, it does exist. Maybe WE will never know how, but it does.

how do u mean slow servers? how fast have u seen a game go? i lay on b.net and never have i had a game faster than fastest even offline it can only go so fast so it has nothing to do with bandwidth.

Metwo, I am talking about relative speed, if you grow used to the lag of a 33.6k or 56k server, then it will seem much faster if you play on a DSL or cable server.....

Also, I take no one for an *****; however, I can assure you, that unless something changed since the last patch I played on, speedhack is still impossible...... You may have oyur opinions, but I have mine.

I never had an opinion that you can/cannot hack it. I saw it with my own eyes. You obviously take me for an *****...

If I said "hey guys i thought of an idea, make ladder faster" then you can tell me that its impossible. However, i actually saw this with my own eyes.

hebe... i'm on dsl... no matter whatt eh host is on its allt he same speed if u pick the same speed. only on slow 56k hosts it jus freezes all the time. there is no difference so it is NOT bandwidth related.

guess i have to fill you guys in again......

the ladder speed cheat is REAL

this makes it so that you can create FASTEST in ladder


the hack was deemed a hack by Blizzard themselves, thus forcing several big sites to take it down, fortunately it was leaked...Blizzard's excuse was that they never intended Fastest Mode to actually be used, they added in more of a joke ,thats why they didnt use it in ladder


anyways, what that guy was refering to was that the units were moving faster, he just exaggerated alot.

Ahh, I see, so it does allow fastest. Of this I was not aware, silly Blizzard :). So the mode was there, but not available all this time..... Interesting.

MeTwo, I have played on many servers that were 56k on fastest (I have DSL) and they seemed like playing in slow or normal speed......

Actually, there has been a hack developed that allows you to play fastest on ladder. Wait, this has been said already, sorry.

Listen here he isnt stupid ive seen it and i got it along with map stack ally speed spoof i have just about every hack except mineral hack i have speed hack and if any one is the moron it would be u not him stupid bandwith dont matter how fast the game is u *****s ur prog bunch of lil kids runnin ur mouths about stuff u dont know

Dark you gonna release the speed hack? It doesnt give you a specific advantage so i do not see why somebody would keep it private.

well to tell yu guys the truth i have seen people well a few of them that uses it i just got done playing with one of them i was really suprise when he just build right in fron of me ma base was all covered up with pylons and photons in about 15 sec on the gameplay

Ok, then release it. As ive said, it doesnt give you alone a specific advantage because it affects everybodies speed in the game. Release it so everybody can enjoy fastest spead in ladder, hopefully leading to more ladder games.

I wish they would make a hack to allow all maps for ladder.

I think your exagerating obu, im sure he couldnt afford 12 gateways in under 2 minutes, even with the speed.(Unless the probes were mining super fast too).
