Wtf With This Sponsors.net Popup????

Hay, im no sure if this is just happening to me or not, but whenever i log on MPC, and no other website, there is a pop up toolbar that appears at the top of mi screen and does no allow me to continue to a selected post. So if anyone has a remedy, or even has what i have described, help to remove it would be nice

Who are you to say this a is .."off topic" when it directly affects my time on MPC and how i use it. After browsing some posts, i sometimes cannot even go back to a previous page, so im asking why they changed it, i actually prefer the popups...but yeh, jus asking what you guys think, cbf with browsing atm cos this...so, jus tell me what you think.

Im having trouble with revisitng previous posts on MPC with this ad bar, and it is making it extremely difficult to manouvre on this website. I just lost a whole page of post because of a clinical error i made. Sigh*

Is there not another way to make money which is more conveniant and less intruding?

It was discussed with some members on IRC and it was decided that these ads are less annoying than the popups, so basically we got rid of the popups and decided to try these ads out, it is not even certain if they will be kept as we need to see how much less money we get from them, if it's still enough to cover server costs then a poll will be started asking members which of the two formats they preffer. That is pretty much all.


And again, what is with you people getting ads per every page??? Do you have cookies disabled or something? I am completely confused as to why the hell this is going on.

Well im not, once every half hour like its supposed to be. These ads are better too because a lot of people had pop-up blockers before, these cant be blocked so easily :)

yeah except we're getting much less $$ from them..... I could deal with that I guess (we're almost making enough to cover server costs and with the bit we have saved up now it's not a problem) but the thing is if people with disabled cookies get them every page I can see how they may be much more annoying than popunders.


Then again..... it's not really my fault if people disable their cookies. Hrm I really dunno it's just a bit wierd I guess :x
