Sorry about not posting a specific problem, I had a problem ingame and wanted to know right away if anyone else was using the mouse I am. I wanted to know if anyone uses a mouse button for AimThru. I use the Thumb Button on this mouse for AimThru and ingame it doesn't work, and its the mouse. It's Mouse4 on this mouse and I have that button on Unassigned under Control Panel>Mouse. Also I use a manual speed bind key to Mouse3 on this mouse, which is the Right Click. Also doesn't work ingame...I wanted to know if anyone uses binds on the mouse and if so, out of game, what are your mouse buttons assigned to. For example, mine..
Control Panel>Mouse
Button 1(Left Click) - Click/Select
Button 2(Scroller) - Universal Scroll
Button 3(Right Click) - Context Menu/Alternate Select
Button 4(Thumb) - Unassigned

you might try logitech's tech support even though I don't think that tech support for any place is managable.

edit: oh wait, what hack are you using? some hacks don't even support mice with more than three buttons including the scroll button.

yeah that's exactly what I was thinking some hacks don't work with mouse4 so post here what hack you're using and I'm pretty sure that someone here will be able to tell you if it will work or if it won't work with mouse4 ;)

I got my mouse problems worked out. I updated the mouseware and worked out the buttons ingame, it seems to be working. I still have a display problem which i didn't say before. This is the problem, and it only happens when using cheats. I'll be walking straight ahead and then like lag or jolt up a second ahead and then back to walking. My video card, 128 DDR ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/TV-Out Sec. So again, if anyone has this same video card and have no problems ingame, could you please post your settings. Also settings such as, Screen Resolution, Color Quality, Monitor Refresh Rate, OpenGL settings. My settings as of now..
Screen Resolution - 1152x864 (1024x768 Ingame)
Color Quality - Highest (32 bit)
Monitor Refresh Rate - 100 Hertz
OpenGL
Main Settings - Balanced
Custom Settings
Anti-Aliasing - Application Preference
Anisotropic Filtering - Application Preference
Texture Preference - Quality
Mipmap Detail Level - High Quality
Wait for Vertical Sync - Default Off
Compatibility Settings...
Force Z-buffer depth - Disabled
Support KTX buffer region extension - Disabled

Thanks for all the help so far.

I think the cause of the lag 'jolt' I get ingame using cheats is caused by speedhack, I'm still not 100% sure...Right now I'm using FelonyX. I uploaded two screenshots of ingame.
81ms ss (http://www.geocities.com/randomjester187/81ms.jpg) 620ms ss (http://www.geocities.com/randomjester187/620ms.jpg)
I'll be running fine then I get a fast lag for a second, which could be seen in the screenshots. I run fine around 80ms and then for a split second it shoots up to 200-400-600ms and thats when the lag 'jolt' happens. Does anyone know why this happens? I used this cheat on my old computer and I was running fine...Could it be settings, fps settings, ping settings, or video card settings...

what are the specs on your second computer?

Machiko
20th March 2003, 12:19
that mouse he has , has specific bugs with the driver and scroll wheel issues. its not the games, its a fact with that mouse. i had the problem, fixed it and it worked fine for me. Then i went back to my better mouse.

I noticed you use speedhack... Couldnt your 'problem' be the speedlag? When you speedhack too much, you get stuck for a couple of seconds...
and the ss didnt work for me...

I would strongly suggest leaving the speed hacks alone. Those speed hacks tend to do hardware damage to you computer. It forces your computer to go into overclocking through your OS's connection to the BIOS. And since most people's computers that are in normal state aren't designed for overclocking, they will overheat the processors. Along with overheating the processors, you will be stressing your OS and eventually will be overloading your ram if it isn't cooled properly.

Speedhacks are essentially coded along the lines of OS speeders. Those Speeders are essentially something that Overclocks and adds hundreds of thousands of more cycles to the CPU's workload of calculations. The additional workload is basically taking a huge hit on the CPU, surging it with more and more until eventually.... you end up with an expensive paper weight on your desk.

Many people on the servers don't believe me, but the programmers and coding team members know this.

So you're actually saying that the speed hack OGC uses in the hook is 'dangerous' or is it the other developed speed hacks which you can buy...

OGC's Speed Hack that was on their website used with their OpenGL in the v2.5 series were OS speed programs.

and in my experience, they have a high potential of destabilizing your OS.

alot of mice u cannot hold down mouse 3, 4 or 5

pressing and holding mouse3 is like giving it a quick click - it will not hold down.

not sure y - but ive seen various mice with this problem
