How many of you are Yu-Gi-Oh card game players?

I don't like cartoons, and Yu-Gi-Oh is a cartoon. The card game relates to the cartoon. I do, however, know alot of people that do play it.

it's great unlike the show. It's just a fun game you dont need to know the show to enjoy the card game. I kinda like aquarian age for ccgs though....not out in the states.

no they are not at all. The show is, the card game isn't .how can you say that ? I dunno ...with that kind a logic, lets slap it on games too. Games are for kids. Nah theres adult anime and there are games based on that, jus tliek their are adult pc and console games, and ones for kids. Yu Gi Oh isnt adult or kid, its just fun. whats wrong with having fun?

I was at a hotel once where the was a dungeons and dragons gathering and it was a bunch of wierdos with greesy hair. And a few had on **** uniforms. And one was maturbating to some polka music in the hotub. Ive kind of stayed away from card games since then.

Im not saying adults cant play them, they are just aimed toward a younger group of people. They also cost a fortune for those cheap little cards. :ermm:

Yea, same here. I used to love MTG, but then it got too complex. It was great in the old days.

they arent aimed at just kids. card games are aimed at both. Go to japan and retract that there when you see. Plus D&D sucks anyway, nothing to do with card games. D&D is hmm whats that word that rhymes with day...err hey...nah hmm , thats ghey, I can't remember the word now.

I hate the game, i hate the show, i hate everything about it. All my friends are playing it and i find it very similar to those stupid Pokémon cards. However it has recently been dying, it was alive and crazy 3 months or so ago. It really bugged me, a lot of my friends discuss the show during class, i feel like punching them.

its not like the show though. its just based on it. The games okay when you play for money, yes illegal gambling in public establishments. It's fun. Id o it with ut2k3 and jk2 and any game i take a total liking too. Yu Gi Oh is okay, doesnt compair to Aquarian AGE Thats a girl card game, at least no boys I know play it and it isnt even out in america.

game and show are different, trust me. I ****ing hate that show. The card game i barely play now just when i want to take some losers money, but they are two different things. Just like with pc games there are card games that are for adults or kids or both play both. Same with films. Ive seen osme pg movies that rocked just as much as an r rated one. When you start tagging age to entertainment you get old. Dont do it. be fre...oh wait its a concept that escapes 80% of the globe.

I'm hoping that hte video game of yu-gi-oh for ps1 is going to be like the show with the summoning of monsters.

Buts its not really that bad. Its fun and challenging. I don't like pokemon cause there its too childish.

pokemon always sucked. see america ****ing takes a japanese adult anime (not talking about any anime mentioned in this thread) ****ing chops it to shit , cel editing deleting script changes music changes episodes entirely cut, then they show this to fools who think its the REAL show and it ain't they dumb it down and people say "oh thats for kids" but in japan it was violent and mature themed and the script used words and concepts I'd speculate would be over the heads of most people here. Ahh it should have stayed where it was, there was no decline in the medium at all...it never needed to be released domestically. It's too bad. People see it for what it really isn't. To hell with Toonami and cartoon network and even Fox who showed a few anime series - cut of course and dumbed down to morons level. I wonder how americans or any other artists outside of japan would like it if we defaced their art? Or called 90% of you wimps because your school phsyical fitness programs are weak compaired to what they made us do in japan. Hmm ya that wouldnt be right. This was supposed to be about people who played the card game when Darkcloud posted, not a stereotyping war or indirectly displaying your prejudices and I'm not talking about japan , I was referring to this games for little kids, or all card games are. they turned it into one. It was about a game then people starting throwing in remarks not related. It would be like me going to a subforum of a gam i hate here and saying it sucks it sucks its for kids. Same deal. ok obviously people that dont play need not comment about dungeons and dragons which has nothing to do with a japanese card game - that's a game created by a wisconsin dude named gary gygax.
