Top 100 Wikipedia Pages

A new Wikipedia tool is currently being tested, what WikiCharts does is list statistics about articles viewed and searched on wikipedia etc.

The most interesting implementation of this tool is the top 100 most viewed wikipedia articles.

Now some of the items there do not really surprise me (after all we’re all sick perverts deep down :P) but some of the top100 results are really strange in my opinion.

In any case it is an interesting tool and well worth checking out the stats.

I don't trust too much on Wikipedia.. since "normal" users post info on it. It's possible you find info on wiki that's completely bullshit.

actually this is not a good reflection of overall interest,

it is only a good indication for the last few days


over a longer time i think you see things like pokemon dropping, and the main page and other "long term" subjects climbing


for example pluto is now on position 9,

but in a few weeks/days i expect it to drop because it is no longer in the news

I always found a tool like this quite interesting because you can see the current interests of the people around the world. Although some of the things on the list are quite questionable.
