I recently came back from india after being there for 2 months. After i came back valve went threw some updates an so i let it update. When i started up css it was fine, but when i joined a server, i noticed a big problem n my fps. Before i left, i was able to get any amount of fps, but now, the graph shows that i can only get a max of 75 and its annoying me. I tried doing fps_max 400 and stuff but nothing happened. I have an x800 xt graphic card. Any thoughts on how to solve this? Are there any specific settings that should be turned off? :dead:

I am going to use ATi for an example
1. Start->Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs-> Uninstall ATi Catalyst Control Center
2. Download DriverCleaner: http://www.drivercleaner.net/ and install it
3. Download ATi Catalyst: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27
Or
Omega Driver: http://www.omegadrivers.net/ once its done downloading, DO NOT INSTALL YET
4. Reboot the computer into Safe Mode
5. Run DriverCleaner
6. Cleaning Section: ATI(All of the ATi's)
Add all the ATi's
7. Click on "Start"
8. When it finish, reboot your computer back to normal
9. When the driver signing thing pop ups (about installing your card) select no and don't install it
10. Now install the Catalyst or Omega Drivers
11. Reboot
**NOTE**
Why do this? Because the cache builds up which will result FPS decrease and HD usage. Some people did it, like me, which actually boosted my FPS.
