Has anyone figured out the method for getting console commands that work only in SP to work for MP? Eg: Names for GR. Im still messing around and havent figured out the searching method yet. If anyone knows how or even has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

errr...the ones listed under mp commands SHOULD work?

Those are rather common though. The SP ones would give a distinct advantage in MP. For instance make a single player game and type showFOV in console and get near an enemy. You'll understand when you see it. Now can you imagine that in MP.

He means he wants to use single player only commands in multi-player... showfov and gundirection might help find players...

wont work...all that is server side

what makes you say that? SIFF for Ghost Recon wasnt server side. And we all thought recoil was server side, Desp could be proving us wrong on that one. Besides if it were server side shouldnt the host be able to do it?

yea if we knew the command to add to the target line to enable cheats on your own server.

Well ammo, which is server side, has already been done.

I don't see how it could be server side... The server is not rendering your view...

Serverside means that either it's done on the server, then displayed by the client. Or it's double-checked on the server, which then fixes it for the client(or kicks the client) when it's wrong...

what do you mean? it would work if we knew the code to add at the end of the target line (at least thats how it was done in mohaa) and then when u make a server you type in commands. but this means that other players can also use the commands if they are smart enough to know thats what ur doing

The console commands? I agree, i still believe this is client side, like GR.

I would think that UBI would make most of it server sided knowing that cheats are easily made server side. I am a newb at this but i also realize that alot of server side commads also lags most players because of the demad of packets that would be sent to each individual player. Oh well what ever is taking place i am just looking for sombody to take me under there wing to show me the ropes :)

I dont believe its server side because whats the point of RSE putting it server side? Its not like the server has to give it to you, because these were made for SP only, they shouldnt even be in the MP code.

I have learned if your type "stop" in the console it stops all ambient sounds but you can still hear foot steps , doors, and gun fire. this is a great tool if your camping. As soon as your run and go into different rooms the sounds come back. I have binded my key to so when your stop i hit the "k" button and it kills all the sounds. You can do this by typing in the console Bind k stop. this binds the k key to so what your looking for try it it works well.. I use this and hit the k key every now and then when i stop to see if anybody is around me.

I think this was posted before, but if it wasnt you should give it its own thread. Yes i knew about this since the demo came out.
I bound it to all my movement keys so whenever i hit one the sound stops. Eg:
W=moveforward | stop
S=movebackward | stop
D=straferight | stop
A=strafeleft | stop

I=PeakLeft|PrimaryFire
O=PeakRight|PrimaryFire

I use that in those situations where every bit counts around the corner..heh

well if your gonna show off your user ini!!!!!

i use straferight/peakright and strafe left/peakleft to going around almost all corners

binded it to the letters right beside the original strafe, works nicely, especially going to stairs, saved my ass alot.

Aliases[18]=(Command="Button m_bPeekLeft | Axis aStrafe Speed=-300.0",Alias="pwalkL")
Aliases[19]=(Command="Button m_bPeekRight | Axis aStrafe Speed=+300.0",Alias="pwalkR")

then bind pwalkl or R to your desired key.

T=LowerPosture | onrelease RaisePosture if you dont want keep pressing crouch, uncrouch, or if your like me, when you fire you crouch to make yourself smaller target.

i have a few more, some im not releasing hehe

is there a bind so you can press the duck key and press the same key again to come back up? (not holding it, just pressing it, then pressing again)

I'm not sure blackie...I'm sure it is do this i'd do it but im not at home im at school:

open ur user.ini look at the x key. If you press x once u crouch...again you go to prone. add on to it. or instead... take prone out and make it raise posture.
