I've wanted to know this for a while and i havn't been able to find exactly what i'm looking for on the web, i can never find out how to do it, in any case what i'm looking to do is to blend 2 or more pictures together somehow to make them come out nice and blend into eachother. If you have no idea what i'm talking about try looking @ this: http://www.carlvolk.com/SummerEve.jpg thats pretty much what i want to know how to do in photoshop, thx ahead of time.

Learn how to use the feathering option which lets you makes corners fade out and blurry and the gradient fill option which can be used to fade from one color to another or transparent.

easiest way is to make one pic fade to 0 alpha and then make another pic fade in from 0 alpha then overlap the two layers of pics just a bit and voila....

If you want to alter the flow of the fade instead of having it just be linear you can go in there afterwards with waterblur/smudge tool and manually blur out or pull the color in the direction you want.
