I dont think this had its own thread so i decided to post it.
If you type "stop" in the console -the quotations it will stop all backround noises except for things like footsteps, gunfire, people changing weapons etc. This makes things much clearer for you in game, and its easier to tell when someone is coming. Also if you go into your rvs/save/profile/ini and scroll down about 3/4s of the way through you will come across something called ambience volume. You can tweak this to whatever you like. Going into the ingame options only lets you set it to 100, but if you do it from here you can make it 1000. This works great with the stop commands
Heres how I have stop binded also
W=moveforward | stop
S=movebackward | stop
D=straferight | stop
A=strafeleft | stop

One last thing, if you enter the options from in game your ini will reset the ambience volume to 100.

Nice Asylum this works great just tried it out thanks for the tip. I had the stop command bound to its own key never thought of doing it with the movement keys, nice and keep up the good work, i know this thread was started before but now its got its own home :) it is hard to find it cause there are so many posts.
