I recently thought of the idea for a scanner that would detect if a hack is being used in Zero Hour, but I am not that good of a programmer. The idea was to have it scan the packets for anomalies , but I have been unable to get it to work, that is if I even coded it right in the first place. Does anyone know if a detector is out there, or how to properly code one myself?:ponder:

A friend and I have been working on one for several months now and we are about to emerge from our cave to show it off.
Since we don't have a database of hacks to scan for,the best we can do is look for modified packets. While the scanner is totally based on huristic indicators, it seems to have a 70% accuacy rate, with false positives around 20%.
Since my programming skills are piss poor at best, I have to rely on my friend to finish cleaning up the gibberish that I call code. Once he finishes the clean up, we can begin beta testing.
When that happens I will post it here, if for no other reason then to shake off the dust and cobwebs .Who knows, mabye someone will use this as an impetus to program somethign better, be it a hack or a scanner.

What hack are you trying to detect in the first place, most of the usefull hacks that give you info, such as say a maphack, don't change the network traffic one bit.

There was a anti-cheat called aceton which I hacked several times. They are still active (version 2.0), but noone uses it, so i see no point in hacking the anticheat, yet alone finding the time these days to do it.
Last version i decrypted seams that all they do is gather information (like running processes and dlls within the processes) on your computer of anything suspicious and send it to a server.
