[Release]Trickster v0.3 beta (MMO scripting tool)

The Trickster project (has nothing to do with the game Trickster) is the answer to a wish of scripting without the knowledge of a scripting language. Everything is managed from within a GUI (Graphical User Interface).

Its purpose is to let the user create a powerfull and custumizable script, applicable in any game or program. Currently its main area of use is the MMO-type games where boring tasks such as mining, farming or grinding will be automated useing Trickster. Watch TV while Trickster does all the boring tasks for you!


Trick·ster [ trkstr ]:
Someone who leads you to believe something that is not what it seem to be.

Tricks:
- Emulate keypress or text
- Emulate mousemovements or clicks
- Color recognition
- Statements (If...Then)
- Emit beeps for notification (usefull in loops)
- Activate windows

Nice work! It see it's going to be some sort of a wizard for auto playing etc right? It's like a wizard for macro building. Instead of writing the macro you set the functions etc by clicking buttons and inserting values to compile a script of some sort.

how do you get the coordinates of the mouse? There is a button with a mouse arrow and a questionmark, click on it and you'll get your answer =)

Very useful release, good job on it too. Now those that couldn't take an hour or two to learn Autoit or something similar can create their own macros. Nice splash screen as well, I liked it.

I havn't planed any dedicated Trickster site. However, i might open a site someday containing my past work and current developments :)

I know everything looks abit "naked" and the functions that are currently implemented isn't all that usefull. This is the start of a project i hope to become enormous, so stay tuned :D

Next up, for the 0.4 version i'm implementing "conditional loops" and "memory read/write" functions... "edit event" is also pretty close on the to-do list.
I'm greatfull for any feedback and ideas.

When should we expect your next release? i think outta all the to do features event recorder and move up or down event are the most important.

i have created a farming script for guild wars with ur tool and it works cool. Great job.

1 bug ive found is that when u put the move coursor speed to 100 and right after u put click left mouse. it wont click.(maybe i need to insert a delay.)

When should we expect your next release?Since i work on Trickster on my free time, the next version release depends on how much problems i run in to... hard to estimate really.

Try moving the mouse a few pixels with speedsetting 90 right after you "instant move".

I should point out that TCP Port 21 Inbound is required. So for all of you NAT routers out there, you need to map your external IP to your Internal IP. When in doubt, there is always ethereal.....


Feature Request:

It would be nice to have a HOT KEY function to play the script from within an application. Perhaps even call certain script functions at the touch of a HOT KEY.

Some games have anti-cheat systems, i'm going to look into that as soon as Trickster comes out of beta.

As for help, i'm greatfull for the offer but all the help i need right now is testing and feedback.
Right now i don't have alot of time to work on the development since i'm in looove and having a hard time concentrating on coding atm ;)

I have a somewhat anoying problem i need to correct for the next version. It's causing trickster to use way too much CPU power. I know where to problem lies, i just have to take the time and find a good solution for it.
I'll be back with info about how it goes as soon as i sit my ass down and perform some heavy debugging work.

Yes, trickster will be a fully featured macro botting tool and hacking tool... when it's finished.
Right now i don't have alot of time to work in it, but i will soner or later.

Hey faldo dude! ****ing gr8 work man! Have some feedback for ya:
- Script needs some sort of GOTO-line command so u can repeat sections.
-Enable drag'n'drop in the script main window. (to be able to move commands)
-Add en editoption on script mainwindow, so u dont have to delete just to change a command..
Otherwise the program OWNZ man! Keep up the good work!

that "bot" is a bit complicated than mod-kore, but its always fun to play around with new tools... and thnx for the scripting tool ^o^

I've tested Trickster on the desk to move the cursor and clik and it's work, then i done a macro for Rappelz(the mmorpg), but it's don't work, when i start the macro, it activate the rappelz windows and that's it, i've test keybaord and mouse control, and it's do nothing. So i would like to know if it's don't work with Rappelz or if it's a bug or a mistake that i may have done, thanks.

If you click the the button with the arrow, move your mouse to the place you need it to be and hit your F5-key it will tell you what the location is.

Anyone knows why this tool dont work in the game FlyFF... I can have the tool running while i play and Game Guard doesnt stop it or anything but it doesnt do anything. It's like the client just ignores it.

Is there something I have to do to make it work in the game?

I tried using this with trickster online and I get all sorts of crap... exceptional error... game guard exceptions... and the like.. so that's why I'm saying I think game guard is doing $hit to this program...

bt the prob is if it does not have a low profile then game guard or similar anti botting systems will surely add this tool in their forbidden list!!
even if the software is upgraded to bypass GG, they will surely find out sooner or latr & again detect tricster.
So, isnt it better to put dis tool out of public & keep it under??
only ppl who really look deeply into getting this kinda tools should search hard & find a way to get one...

I'm interested to know if it is in some way connected to the AutoIT scripting language and if you plan to let it to make little executables with only the runtimes maded for a certain game.

Does the application you want to control have to be active for the script to work?

What I really want is a macro tool that will send keystroke data to a minimized game while i get on with other stuff.

Autohotkey and Autoit have a controlsend feature but it doesn't seem to send to mmo games at all. Pfft.

i think this cant be called hack. probably you can call it a tool expecially for mmorpg's. i like tricker and how it works but i think it is still very limited and so promesing.

if your going to download this and new in scripting i suggest make use of the finish project and learn from it on how they do make they script its more understandable. im practisng this tool for 12-sky but still not yet perfect im so confuse on how variable works. :)

when i try to run this i get that, cannot connect to database error. i understand that i need to open port 21. but how exacly do you do that? i looked in the firewall settings and my firewall was actualy turned off lol. plus i couldnt find anything about port 21
so how is this done/?
