I got a question about screenshots.

1. What is a "group screenshot"?

some guy said he took a group screenshot and found out some people had neon skins. How do you take a screenshot of someone else's view?

thanx

hmmm, he numbered his one question . . .

o well

a "group screenshot" is where the server forces all the clients to take a screenshot, with an anti-cheat tool, I don't know how it is he is saying that he found the neon skins, unless the people actually sent him the screen shot. . .

OMG that would be a very silly thing to do. If someone tries to do this on a public server screw em, what are they gonna do? Ban you? Just choose one of the other thousands of servers out there.

K here is how it goes
Either using C.I. or some other crappy ANTI-CHEAT program that sucks and we hate... back to my point... he forces a group screenshot of more than one player and then you have to send him the screenshot when it was taken thats what it means
if the smiley above doesnt work sue me!

wouldnt that be classed as spyware?? people could use it to send other files on someones HDD to you , eg, sends some registry data to look at saved passwords etc .. damn, if mohaa turned into that , it wouldnt be a game no more.

I dont know, I heard from an EA programmer that in MOH:2 Pacific Front that they actually will try to prevent hackin with forced screenshots and a command that sends them to an upload part that the administrator of the server wants. *Gulp*

wouldnt firewalls be able to stop that, eh probably not cause ya are already connected, anyway, yea, it wouldnt be a game anymore if they did that

Nah, the raw TGA files themselves are bigger than most maps, they could do that, but everyone would be pinging in the 300s.

I'm not worried, EA is a bunch of geeks with pocket protecters who made MoH:AA as their one hit wonder.

I'm honestly not concerned.

:D

EA like it or not actually may start to give a **** they r all bitching about the money they r losing becasue ppl know there games will b hacked in a matter or a month or 2 and no fun, it will b interesting to see if they actually try something to counter hackers.....or if they make games, watch them get hacked hear the clean people complain and laugh cause they already bought the game.

You make a good point about that, EA is all about the almighty dollar. But then again, Spearhead and BF1942 are still free of any money threatening hacks.

And the consumers are still eating MoH:AA up, even though it is hack infested, and even if they do work in concert with PunkBuster or any other anti-cheating company, we will ALWAYS find a way around it.

For example, is it not true that all cheaters were freaking out when VAC released with CS? Yes, but through about two weeks, it was bypassed, and we were at it again.

Will they stop us? No. Can they try? Yes.

No, I'm not finished, I just got a little winded, here I go again, I did some digging for this quote:

Originally stated by Scott Chambers, EA Games
Medal of Honor Allied Assault is done with EA, we are sending out the word to mark it down and put it on the discount rack, our companies tech support groups are being bombarded with emails of hacking and such, so we have decided to leave this game, and work on making Spearhead, and our other flagship titles, cheat free.

Face it gentlemen, this game is ours to do as we please.

Ok, now I'm done, you can close your internet explorer now.

nothing at all is wrong with cheating... imo, this is a war game, there are too sides, axis and allies, there are too sides to the external part of the game, cheaters, and non cheaters... in a war, each side uses any advantage they can get, our advantage is cheating, theirs is anti-cheats... and life goes on...

ummmmm as true as that may be im sure the developers of the game really didn't want a side to have major advantages and if that were true then whats the point of all the anti-hack stuff?
