I can´t update Half-kife to version 1.1.1.0!!!!

I have my Half-Life and the version I have when getting the CD is 1.1.0.8 and I can´t update it to the latest even if i download their latest update utility from their official website.
How can I make it so it will be possible??

It says that my current version is the latest but every time I play it,it will say that my version is out of date.

have you tried to uninstall it, and then to reinstall? maybe it could help........

Yes I have reinstalled it threet imes now and for some days ago I reinstalled my computer too.

YES I downloaded the full update which is around 82 MB instead of using the autoupdate and it works now.

no I have never used gamespy and I have also reinstalled it 3 times which I said in my earlier post but that didn´t work,it said that my current was the newest but when I started the game,it said that I have to update it.

The only way I could make it work was to download the full update which was around 82 MB instead of the $icK autoupdate thing.

Just delete everthing Half Life , Counter Strike then delete it from your regedit to search for half life , cs , counterstrike , sierra but look for half life or cs

Or download the full update which is easier for people who dont wanna play around with the registry.
