1.
pick an titan map

2.
get the transport helo with an friend of you

3.
be the pilot and fly to the enemy titan hang 50 meters or above the enemy titan

4.
let ur friend switch seat

5.
now look at ur scoreboard and u will get an big smile on ur face :)

Why I'm I not surprised by this! That has to be th lamest form of stat padding I've seen. I absolutely hate this 'new' score system EA introduced in BF2; life was simple with bf1942.

what is the logic of the game giving you the points for your teammate switching seats above the titan? i don't get it? why would the game think you deserve points for this? also, how is this discovered? by accident?

when somebody normally jump out above an enemy titan u get an titandrop point(as pilot). but when u seat switch above the titan tha game thinks the person jumped out and u get an titandrop point for it.

My friend went from rank 40,000 to rank 1,000 in one night of about 2 hours of using this exploit. People will know almost instantly when they compare stats though because the only stat raising their rank is "Score"-- And time played is a LOT less than the true 1,000 area ranked people. The only thing one can really get out of using this exploit is your unlocks, but even those are pretty easy to get. Ranking system of BF2142 is BS(see my post about that (http://www.mpcforum.com/showpost.php?p=1522669&postcount=7)).

I haven't seen any accounts banned or reset yet, but I bet EA will end up doing it really soon.

Congratulation to Ea for making some really cool exploits , Whoever does there testing for them needs to be sacked !

patch will be coming soon. the titan mode is fuxored because of this, the ammo glitch, and the endless missles hack. why play it unless you are trying to get points and rape the other team-

Personally, I loathe the stat system and it's one of the reasons that I hated BF2 and never really played it - plus my system is buggered and I'm too cheap to replace/upgrade.

Between this and the adware in the game it is another reason for me not to bother with it. I still can't believe someone at EA marketing thought that was a good idea - I can understand it from a marketing perspective and also from getting money for development purposes but this 'glitch' just goes to show how little time, money and effort EA/DICE seem to have actually put into this mod that retails as a full priced game.

Anyhow the latest patch will be another nightmare for some ppl. It seems that the patch could actually crash your machine due to a M$ patch!

From the readme.txt for the patch:

Players who have the security update KB917422 instaklled may suffer from an application error when running BF2142. This error can be resolved by uninstalling the KB917422 update.

And for the geeks out there: the KB917422 plugs a 'vulnerability in the Windows kernal [that] could result in remote code execution'.

I would not use this if I was you. Over 20 of the top 40 peoples stats just got reset due to abusing this glitch. Thats just the top 40 so who knows how many people got reset.

Simple rule of thumb. If you want to keep your stats, dont stat pad.

It happened in BF2 so it was only a matter of time before they (EA) did the same thing in BF2142. If only they had proper beta testers and forced DICE to code a proper mod (sory game) it would help.

Well I can't remember what version of BF2142 this worked on since I haven't played it in a while, but if you were to do this your stats would be reset soon after because EA can easily tell you have been doing it.

read the date of it, its from november, as in EA patched this a long time ago.
