I had the same problem. Question though: After updating patch, Can I download the other R6 file, with the ret lock, and the game still work straight? I am about to test anyways..

i just reinstalled my game and put the patch on..........i haven't put to no cd in yet will that still work........will the ret lock still work?????


BTW the website that was being plastered all over the place one doesn't know the difference between recoil and ret. and second i downloaded it just to check the read me and they did steel it, it is identical to the one youkilled placed here......talk about an unorginal bastardo!!! anyway, keep up the good work peps

Someone can not download this and play the game, there are other core files. CD Cracks and keys are warez this is not. This is merely technical support.

Erm, whats playing the game got to do with copyright files?

Look, all the games files are copyright UBI, modified game files are copyright UBI, distributing some, half, bits, modified or all files is breaking copyright, to anyone.

Yes, atleast for Nvidia drivers, the copyright agreement makes that clear when you download them, ofcourse Nvidia arn't going to be that botherd as you need to spend $100+ on their HW before they are any good.

Well, I am kind of curius why nobody's allowed to post a ravenshield executable that's been cracked so it doesn't require a CD... but we are allowed to post any other file from the game, or even modified files from the game...

This thread kind of reminds me of 2 things I said in the readme... One, backup your shit.... Two, nobody read's the the readme's anyway, that's why I included the original file(R6Weapons.dll.ori)...

I always, always read the read me file. One simple mistake can mean reinstall of reformat.

Well i might have been wrong with the copyright thing but UBI isn't about to do anything. Its a French company and heh they arent exactly 'in the clearing' with this whoel iraq thing either.

I and my host was served with a copyright infringment notice, asked to remove content from my site, so yes, they have already.

Fortunatly i broke no copyrights, it seems to be just an attempt to have my site closed, they couldn't point to anything on my site that was breaking copyright, thats not the case on this site however.

Your site is much smaller then mpc...maybe it would be easier for them to pick off the small ones and just leave us alone. I haven't seen anything about copyright infringement notices around here.

If anything the size of the community, its perceived damage to the game and its range of games would increase the efforts of a company, atleast thats my thoughts.

My site was game specific, well atleast it apears that way.

Perhaps, but of the Tom Clancey games R6, R6:RS, R6:CO, BT and GR all had serious problems with cheats, due to this UBI made the comment that they would be doing everything they possibly can to combat cheats, the email i received from UBI was on the US release date of RvS.
