i remember a while ago there was a thread about getting disconnected/couldnt connect and you weould go to a screen with a soldier with the eh crosshairs on i dont know if i have missed anything but if you turn it off the soldier disappears turn it ton again and he comes back now why would that be??

In actuality, you will see no soldier.... all you would see is a black screen with the words "connection failed" in white....

However, if you were using evilhack and had the playermarks (crosshairs) turned on, then you would see that there is a soldier standing there behind the blackness. Only the crosshairs that are marking his head give away the fact that he is there. You can not see him, but you know he is there.

Is this all cleared up now?

Ok guys it's alittle more complicated than just a soldier there.

It's called the 'black screen shot trap'.

This is how they are detecting the use of EH. This failed detection screen is completely random, and happens from time to time. If you see this screen with a soldier than chances are you are about to be BANNED.

So remember kids: Turn off EH before connecting, and Turn off EH before the end of a match.

Alot of ppl are getting banned lately.

that way if the soldier shows up hes a normal looking soldier with no freaky stuff going on

WARNING< that soldier is a Attemt from AA to catch cheaters, when that screen shows the game takes a small screenshot, doesnt have to be big, could be a few pixels, but it takes a picture of a part of the screen, its in the code, but we do not yet know if it sends it out, and those connection failed, well thats just a random aa cheat detection by AA, which is actually illegal, and considered DDos, by blocking connection to a server, This was all posted by Spooky in the UC forums.

1. Getting the code is illegal.
2. I don't see him actually being able to determine anything from the code (he would know easily it was sent if he could really inspect it).
3. It is NOT a Dos. That is way off the truth.

ya it might be, but I haven't been banned yet. So how is this explained? Maybe some have, some have not - like me. My picture looks a little different too then what everyone here is describing. I already posted that in another thread. Could it be something to worry about? Maybe. I'm I worried? No, because I haven't been banned yet ever. If this is taking a screenshot, I guess they suck really bad at banning me. I don't know if they are working in Alpha order when they go down their list of potential bans, but either way I would have been banned on one/all of the 3 accounts I have right now, if this is the case I would think. So far no bans. Lots of bad connections, or rather no connection for months now. This has not harmed me yet.

I was banned recently using only EH. Did the new machine name, mac address clone, turn the modem off overnight for new ip, and created a new account and password with a different email just to be safe. Lost 3 accounts on different emails.

I play very smart and turn off EH when I am dead, before matches, and right before ending a match. I did see the green targeted soldier a couple times when I forgot to turn it off before a match.

I haven't been banned yet, and I almost want to be. It will be a release for me. Alot of what I wanted, worked for, hoped for, cared for in this game seems to be dying. It's not reviving, and I'm not holding on to much hope anymore.

Machiko, regarding your not being banned yet...

Watch out -- the pic thing happened to me since I upgraded to 1.6, but I didn't get banned until 2 days ago... I'm sure that's what did it, cuz I've got EH installed quite securely and haven't been doing anything stupid -- never had to use cleaner, and all of a sudden I was banned. That would explain it.

Anyway, point is be careful. It might take a little while to catch up to you (if it ever does), so don't be too confident.

Yeah I hear ya Biggy. I still cheat and use it when I play. I want to get caught though as you know. Still no luck. if you read my other posts I told you I have seen the map load with the model huge in front of it then I drop conection (no black space), and my crosshairs don't appear. Nothing does. The screen flashes so fast but the model I see is posed in an unnatural pose, with no gun up very close, and I see the outside of pipeline but from under the snow a bit. I see the clipping throug the terrian mesh and then it kicks me off the server. It's strange.

I won't use manager only because the brand name changed...or rather the people who did the xmls are not squirrels and therefore not recognized by me.

That saw thing, ya I do that now with eh. Ihave been killed headshot with the saw for 2 weeks now from far away in fog, no ones banned me, no ones said "cheater", no one summoned an admin ( i keep close tabs on this).
